I think it is unlikely that Evgenia does not get any form of subsidy. That said, it is very likely that none of those involved (RusFed / Ministry / Sambo / private sponsors) would want to publicize how she gets funding because it might encourage others to seek the same path.
Yeah i dont want my favorite female skater to go broke, does brian really charge a 100k a year!? Plus she has to pay rent and food... maybe she should train by skype to save money
Brian charges per hour and has been upfront with Evgenia and her mom with the fact that initial training costs will be high but will vary from month to month. I don’t know how the charges break down with the rest of the TCC team.
I highly doubt Evgenia will go broke. Javi survived in New Jersey with no help from his federation. I’m not even sure they were giving him any money when he moved to Toronto because unfortunately they’re such a small federation. Money issues are obviously an issue in elite sports but skaters (and their families) all over the world have been doing this for a long time. That’s why if skaters want to do sponsored posts or promotional codes or shell enzyme drinks I am just like get that money honey!!!
I want her to get a partnership with Airweave, it’s four years after Sochi and Meryl Davis and Charlie White are still getting that Airweave money so

oh, I see.. So it is not a sambo-70 school then. Rus fed is most def giving her the "basic package" then - flight tickets to her and 2 coaches to each competition, dresses/skates/blades/hotel expenses and probably ice time (usual monthly cost of ice in Moscow). Like to any other regular Russian skater on National team. But that is not a big sum of money overall
I read also choreography but I have no source.

Here are two sources about the payment per month.

I think the idea that training costs $100k per year comes from info on Yuzuru. If I remember correctly, Yuzuru received $200k(2 years, 2012-2014) as JOC scholarship for his training expenses in Canada.
I reckon that covers everything including choreography, costumes. Orser said in an interview he charges more than $110/hour nowadays but not not much higher. There's also Tracy Wilson, the spin coach's fees, the gym trainer, nutritionist fees, etc.
Evgenia should be ok even if she has to pay everything herself. Jason Brown doesnt have WC titles, Olympic medals to his name & he can afford Orser. I dont think Jason's funding from USFS is a lot.
Financial worries will stress out even the strongest person. Zhenya probably expected to win more prize money at the Grand Price events and perhaps she’s worried about finances.
I think I may have brought this up before, but I really like Evgenia's hairstyle in Skate Canada FS. I thought she looked gorgeous, and combined with her makeup, really gave her that sophisticated "grown up" look that her team was going for. So while I like her old hairstyle, which she sported back in IdF, I hope she will go back to Skate Canada hair/makeup doing RusNats.
Me too.
Info about Nationals:
The short starts at 14-00 on 21st and the free at 18-00 on the 22nd.
Hoping for good results.
