Yes! It is hard to appreciate Alina's illusions fully until I saw other skaters doing them
Alina's spins in general are so superior, though I really like Anna S' half Biellmann and Kamila V's flying camel too

I don't even want to venture there. So help me - it is so upsetting.
I'm just glad that my mindset as a FS fan does not include the need to put down skaters.
Such hatefulness - disguised as "opinion" and their crusade to save the sport from Alina's "ugly skating"
IMO it says a lot more about the insulter than the insultee.
Well, I still think Alina will win Worlds.
Last year at GPF she wasn't clean either (SP & LP)
If she can skate both programs like she did the SP in Russia, she will score very high.
Also, Nebelhorn showed what she is capable of.
Of course - "Just a minor comp" "means nothing" blah blah blah
However ---- if an "annointed one" had done well in a challenger series - suddenly it would be BIGGER THAN THE OLYMPICS!!!!

Soon, Alina will no longer need Tatjana Flade next to her at interviews. :sad21:

True..even if you look at the comments on YouTube it is always the same 5 people that bash on Alina the rest are very supportive. It always buffles me that some people do not get that you can support one skater without bashing another.
There are many.
This forum is not a good representation because it is moderated closely.But good news is I think that are not many in Russia, except for in the figure skating elite :dev2:. Almost all the the comments I see on sports.ru are very encouraging toward Alina.

That was probably the fiercest I‘ve ever seen Alina interpret this program. Wow. And the ending is divine lol at how she left stains on the camera lense. Camera man was probably like: “If you weren‘t the Olympic Champ you‘d get in serious trouble now, young lady“

You know, if she didn't skate in the gala, the story would have been "she's a poor sport because she lost and doesn't want to take part in the gala".

Hello everyone
I have been a lurker for some time on this lovely thread and I now have the courage to post!
I am an Alina fan all the way from Argentina! The truth is I have never in my life skated on ice, since there are no ice rinks where I live (or in the whole country I think). As a little girl I practiced our type of figure skating, which is on the regular floor lol. However I have been a fan of the sport, and I watch all the competitions together with my friends and my cousins. I may not know as much as most of you about the sport and its rules, but I do share with you the love for Alina!!! I think she´s just so amazing and she seems to have such a wonderful personality. No other skater today makes me as happy when I watch figure skating as Alina.
With the negativity you sometimes see on other threads or on youtube videos (most of which come from jealous people) I wanted to come here and show you that Alina has many fans from all over the world! When I watch her with my friends, we all say that she makes us motivated and makes us want to work harder. And I think that´s just wonderful. And the fact that she´s so young and inspires so many people speaks for itself.
Congrats to her for her much deserved silver medal!
