Very informative! I have a renewed admiration for ice dancers. Looks incredibly difficult and intricate. Not to mention the coordination that has to be done by two people. I am not sure I understood well what they meant by ‘timing’
here as I thought of it in many different ways (following the number of beats required, being on the beat to the music, being in time with one another, etc.). Thanks for sharing this!

I really hope we'll have some footages of their performances at French Nationals...I know it's only been 3 weeks since the IdF, but I really want to see if they've perfected/polished their FD since then...Do you think they have?
Guillaume talked about "premises" in an interview, so I guess they plan to rework it a lot from now to Europeans.
+ Alain mentioned that they were still working on their new lifts, so maybe they'll change one of them (the last, from last season, maybe?)

I can't wait !!!!

I hope not, I love that lift. Maybe the RD one? Although it's more likely just little adjustments, they've never introduced a whole new lift in the middle of a season iirc. When they ditched the rotational lift in 2015-2016 they used their SD lift instead. If they completely rework one of their their elements my bet is on the choreo slide, they won't want that little hiccup on the exit to occur again.

I do not understand ; Guillaume, via Instagram, gives us an appointment for Saturday 15 and Sunday 16, while on the site of the FFSG, the RD is indicated Friday 14 and the FD Saturday 15 ?? :scratch3:

Vids from French Nationals should be no problem. I remember they came in HD last year and the slow-mo replay was the most luxurious, although the rink itself looked meh.

I think even if they are working on some adjustment to the lifts, it would be one of the proper ones, and not the choreo lift at the end, which is already a tasteful evolution from last year.

As for the dates, maybe he's confused or thinking in Canada time?

If I am not mistaken, among all the GOE’s they received, the GOE for the choreography lift at the end was the highest.

In her TV commentary, Tanith Belbin White said she was ‘literally clutching her heart’ when she was watching the curve lift because it was really beautiful. I doubt if it will go away. You’ll find it in so many still shots of the FD.

It's amazing how such an apparently small detail can make a difference, but with the addition of the cummerbund/higher-waisted pants or whatever it is for Guillaume as of IdeF, I like his costume much better - it enhances his body line more and creates a stronger contrast with the billow of the lace shirt.
