Happy to see Alina skating so well in the gala! :) I was worried about her after the FS, but it seems she's not injured so that's great.

Looking forward to seeing Carmen at the Euros. :biggrin:

All aspect of her skating are better and better, and it's not so long she was as small as 3A. Especially I admire her bigger flexibility, with age it's usually harder, but she improve there.
It's not a long time ago since she join Eteri's group, desn't have all triples, broken leg and arm and start again. Today her pic with Alena and Sasha really made me think about that.

My first post here was in March 2018 right after Worlds.

So I am trying desparately to make up for lost time! :drama:

PS - there were a lot of in-between years where I didn't even visit the forum at all.

Alina is having a hard time because she is injured, the nerves and everything are a consequence. Many of us noticed in the FS practice she was touching her left foot, and the whole week she has had a very rough skating, her warmups have been stressful, she has fell and bombed the jumps and more than one noticed that she had two bandages in her knees and that she was in pain. For me, it was not just a bad day, she is injured and the Rusfed let her compete without no regrets. She is the only one who had nothing to prove at nationals, not this year.

I know is the fanfest where everything shines and there are rainbows, but i think this is also the best place to point these things out because we care, support and want the best for her.

On the bright side i admire how she fought until the end, she matured and grew up since WC. She is a warrior. I love and admire her so much, i hope someone gives her a big hug from all the fans around the world and tell her to not jump in the gala. An honourable mention to teamzagitova. They were great with all the hearts, an amazing, original and beautiful detail to support Alina <3.

That picture is scary. Didn't anyone see it to ice it and tape it? She is Olympic champion she should not skate injured. It's too risky.
 
I wish Alina a Merry Christmas in advance, i hope she can rest well before european i know she is really tired of training both psychologically and physically its really exhausting to be in the ice everyday, im not wishing her a gold i wish her to be healthy and injury free that's all. Goodluck Alina
 
I am so relieved!!!

She would not be able to skate that well with a serious injury - and the doctors would not clear her for exhibition if skating here makes it worse.

Yay! I was too upset to post anything. Really glad to now see her big smile. Hope she had big hugs from her mom, and Masaru (and even grumpy Iriska). And hope that she knows that all her fans love and support her! 🥰

Survivor is so empowering, and it fits perfectly as an ex program in this season's picture, the difficult post-Olympic season, when Alina knew she will need to surpass other difficulties, too.

Whatever happens at a competition, at the gala Alina reminds us once again (in case some people forget) that she is a Survivor, and won't ever give up. When the competition was tough, her ex had even more fire on it, exactly because Alina wants to send this message.

I am happy because she is smiling, she is sending us kisses ([emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]) and because she received a standind ovation. Well-deserved, and I hope she will leave this competition with a calmer mind. People love her, because she was, is and always will be a Survivor.[emoji7]
 
Someone please explain to me her gala program. Why does she have to pause for so long to tie her hair and take off her jacket :laugh:

I used to think its because she forgot to do it before she took the ice.

But then it just keep happening at every exhibition????
