Thank you very much for great video and your effort :points:

All YOLO jumps are great but my favorite would be 4CC of 2017, H&L ended with 3A. He lost in the competition but I almost forgot about that since I was too excited witnessing H&L like that. I remember Japanese commentators were also excited about that, too.
Completely agree :agree: That impro 3A at the very very end of his program was mindblowing. I wonder what that judge expected to see that he/she gave him 0 GOE for that...:dev2:

What just occurred to me was that that first YOLO - the R&J1 - was when he was the ripe old age of sixteen. Sixteen, folks, and he could think on the fly like that, even as he was tiring....

Thank you very much!

I'd like to share some thoughts about this video, since it was an incredibly long and challenging project for me.

It all started in mid August, when someone asked me to do a montage with Yuzu's YOLO jumps. So it was not my own idea actually, but I got totally thrilled and started researching all layout changes that Yuzu has done during his senior career. Boy, that was some marathon...
Wow it was such a long term project but I applaud you for sticking and finishing it.
Champions are special, they are risk takers because they want to win. Something Doug Haw commented on a video when predicting who wil win Worlds.
Of course his money is on Yuzu.
After seeing your vid, I am really convinced that it is true.
I believe the risks he took are not foolish, he probably has a certain level of confidence going into it.
So thank you for compiling it beautifully.

A TV clip with amazing details about her costume designs for Origin and Otonal!

I really enjoyed this TV program, kudos to Satomi who has made 40 costumes in this season

Satomi graduated from fashion high school and had worked at a major costume company for several years, but she started working by herself because she wanted to "make" costumes literally not only doing "design". In the video, she is thinking of putting frills around the neck of Otonal costume saying Yuzuru's neck is beautiful and long, and she always has stomachache when he competes since she is worried if a part of decoration might drop or she will receive bitter criticism about the costumes by viewers. About Origin costume, she says the theme is "feather" because Yuzuru's first name means "born from feather (羽=feather, 生=born)". She decided maximum weight for male costumes from her experiences and it is 850g, and Otonal is 668g and Origin is 667g so she says they are much lighter than that. She has her own concepts in the costume she makes, but she doesn't tell them to the skaters not to make them confused.

Satomi's mother is from Thailand and her family visits a temple once a year. She always wears black and takes walk for one hour 2 or 3 days a week, she likes the colors of nature and gets inspiration for the design from them during the walk. She does not like people and seeing them is rather stressful, dogs give her more comfort.

Sorry for my rough summary, I hope full translation will come. Great program

The US Sports Academy is running their annual Athlete of the Year poll, and Yuzuru is the only figure skater on the list, so it would be wonderful if he won (purely objectively, of course and who am I kidding??? )

Thanks, TallyT! You bet I voted! It was a little confusing--for me, the voting screen only came up after clicking on the big voting emblem, not (as I did repeatedly) on the line pseudo-link next to it. And there are 2 bot tests at the end - scroll to the top for the second word test & only then will a 'thanks for voting' message appear.

Apart from the pleasure of voting for Yuzu, reading through the brief descriptions of other athletes' achievements was interesting and impressive!

I think this one brings you directly to the voting page.

Thanks! Seems like the video is private now.

That's a wonderful article, I love his still amazingly humble and realistic attitude - and those pictures!!!

Wow, watching Yuzu's old programs from his novice and junior days, he was already so Yuzu. So, rather than that he's small, to me it looks like he's the same and the rink is huge.
