2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

Those start and finish times are in Sakhalin Standard Time. To get your time, deduct the hours in the list above from the time.

For example, Moscow time = SP starting at 4 pm Sakhalin = 8 am Moscow. (Abkhazia = Moscow time)

New Yorkers can watch it starting at midnight on Wednesday.

LAers (?) can watch it starting "yesterday" at 9 pm (Tuesday). (Note, I made a correction for PST.)

Livestream: you may be fortunate and find the following page streaming.

This is covering all 12 sports but I'm sure they'll include the figure skating. May need a vpn.

Thank you so much! I’m from Auckland NZ but I already know the times for me :)

Alena Kanysheva or Kostornaia?

In 2013 two young Russian skaters from Izhevsk - Alisa Lozko and Alina Zagitova - were in St.-Petersburg for audition to Mishin's group. One was accepted, the other was not.

So, here's a little mental gymnastic exercise for you: how would've changed figure skating history if Zagitova was trained by Mishin?

I didn’t know. How ironic the one he rejected is an olympic champion now. Alina went through so many painful things, was kicked once by Eteri and now she’s a queen.
If she was training by mishin I doubt she would be the star she is now.

I don't know about that.

Alina is extremely talented and physically gifted.
And Mishin is one of the all time great coaches.

I think she would have succeeded under Mishin as well.
