2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

.

As I remember she landed three quad lutzes, one of them in combo. Anyway she loses almost nothing when fails and clean quad lutz is a huge addition to tech score. At Rus Nats she gained almost 16 points for it.

And not for nothing, but it isn't a consistent jump for men either. And when Anna does land it, it is stupendous.

I agree, very terrible judging and this is in Russia with Russian judges, what a shame. :disapp:

I don't say this much, but the judging seemed pretty hinkey to me. Were they Russian judges? Young you is talented, but that program seemed pretty empty to me, less empty than it used to be a couple of years ago-like she dropped some transitions or something.

Probably because Sinitsina is unknown to the judges while Young You has been out in her 3rd season. Haven't watched Sinitsina's LP, but I do think Young You's Pirates of Caribbean is one of the best ladies' LP ever and she performed it very well.

I still can't get over the fact that Sinitsina got only 63 PCS for her brilliant FP while Young You got almost 67 for her old pirate program :palmf:

Looking back at RusNats and Gubanova I am sooooo upset that she fell on that stupid 2A. If not she might have caught Samodurova in 6th place and the whole Euros-Worlds-scenario would have been very different. Ah well. But what upsets me the most is that she will probably have yet another season in the shadowlands next year.:palmf:

Sinitsina had one event of JGP, was underscored and got 187.91, in my opinion she is the strongest among the girls of Panova.

the euros team probably would've been exactly the same considering sofia had a stronger season, i don't think they would've dropped her unless she bombed

Her 4Lz is pretty OK in practice. Unfortunately she cannot land it in competition without actually attempting it. So...

Failing the 4Lz is very unfortunate but Anna needs credit for the rest of her programs. She has delivered 2 clean SPs and one clean free skate with a 4Lz since the JGPF! She used to be someone who occasionally messes up some little parts here and there, however, it's pretty obvious that they are working hard on improving her skills. Also, her free skate in Sarajevo was also clean appart from the 4Lutz and the UR calls, which in my opinion were due to her pre-competition injury.

And at one event she got a costly penalty for being 1 second late.

It's time for Plan B for Nastya G.

Does anyone know when the Russian Cup Final official entries will come out? I wonder who will be there this year!

Does anyone know when the Russian World Team will be announced? I'm expecting that they'll send Zagitova, Tuktamysheva, and Samodurova, but there is a test skate during which Medvedeva could be considered, right?
