Do you think that Evgenia will get the spot (for Worlds), given the fact that the Council is chaired by Eteri's ally?

Alina regressed while both Liza and Evgenia are progressing. That is why the RusFed should have made Alina skate here.
And then it would have been more transparent and fair for everyone how they(the RusFed) make the team.

And so what ? It’s not Alina’s fault if Liza was sick. She beat her at GPF.
Stanislava didn’t qualify for GPF, she maybe had a good free but bombed her short at euro and finished 4th.
Why Alina should skate here ? She had nothing to prove. She medaled at each event except Rusnat where no senior was on the podium abd Zhenia had her olympic spot without skating at Rusnat or Euro last year.

Because you say that Alina deserves the spot just because she has more medals than the others.

Agree.
I actually want the best for Zhenya (not like many others :P) and I don't understand why she and her team (incl TAT & Co) want to go to worlds so bad. It's not only the jumps (like with Alina) she legit has to will herself though her programs... I don't see much improvement from RusNats to the Cup final, so I doubt we will see much until worlds. I kind of expected to see this big improvement going into the Cup Final to be honest because they are pushing it.

(Improvement /= falling less, but more secure confident clean jumping, spins, skating & clear choreography per se, like the knowledge that she could do better because she has everything down. Now I have the feeling she fought for elements tooth and nail and it's the maximum they can show, and she managed it by her willpower)

I'm not happy to see Liza or Sonya not go to Worlds as a fan and I'm not happy to see Zhenya go to Worlds as as fan either.

But she obviously really, really wants to go, so in some ways I'm happy she get's what she wants even if I personally don't think it's the best for her future.

W/e RusFed do your work like always :P
 
I don't get the sense that TCC is pushing Med to go to Worlds. Where are you getting that? I understand if Med and Tarasova really want her to go to worlds, but never got it from TCC.
 
I love Zhenya and it's so good to see her smile. Of course I'd love a comeback story where she has a terrible season and wins a medal at Worlds... BUT. I think it should be Sofia, Liza and Alina. I think they have proved themselves over the season.

If they choose Zhenya she will have immense pressure and if she falters the Russian good will diminish. Tat may not continue to back her either.

I think her team should decline and instead take Universida. She can use this time to come back and kill next season.

She's been skating like this for the last 1.5 seasons. That technique needs to get sharpened.

If both Evgenia and Liza turn it down, they could both be going to something bigger (Worlds)
Or, Liza is tired of competing and Evgenia's going to worlds. Or, Zhenya doesn't want to come back to Russia again so soon and Liza's going to worlds.

Sometimes I grow a bit of a soul and feel bad for these people =/
 
When is the Worlds team going to be announced? Are we all just sitting at our computers hitting F5 for the announcement to come?
 
The difficulty lies in having to choose between med and tukta. I would send both. Easily. Alina is the one on the decline. Objectively, I can’t count on her present state of conditioning. Since she wasn’t here, I have no reason to say her conditioning has changed. I will let her stay home. Problem solved.
 
Liza said that it was her last saison. If Rusfed send both Liza and Zhenia at worlds maybe Liza as an alternate and at world team trophy as a regular.
