So who are the 3 ladies for Worlds?
I also think that giving the defending champion an automatic wildcard would be the most elegant solution.Once again on the green card for the defending champion. Method proven for many sports. You can do it even tomorrow at no extra cost, and it certainly will not hurt anyone.
Figure skating had figures - they were long and boring. Expensive? Ice time, I guess. I myself was terrible with figures btw. - I liked to jump. There were multiple routines in dance - also too long and boring...well, dance.
Ok and do you think Medvedeva will be there?

I think Fluture was referring to the qualifying rounds that were used at Worlds when there were too many entries (see the tables here with QA, QB, SP, FS). The ISU voted to eliminate them in 2006.
Tennis has hour long matches. Although they cut 5 sets approach in men's Davis Cup, it is still a lot of time combined for each tournament. And yet, they have qualifiers. That's what I am talking about. Introduce qualifiers. The argument that people won't watch is weak. There were very few people in Korea for early groups in ladies anyway: hard core figure skating fans and fans from participating countries. Those will watch qualifiers as well. National TVs could show qualifiers if their skaters participate. It's the same as in tennis: in Russia they showed qualifiers of a recent event in Dubai with the Russians.
