In addition to the scoring being different, UR rule is now stricter. Also she has gotten called on her lutz (was she in the past?)
Dont think we have enough evidence to say that the judges would definitely score clean Evgenia as generously as they did in the past.
If i look at Medvedeva now i see a growing artistry, more ownership of her programs but at the same time spins that are +1 (+2/+3 for the i-spin) while in the past they were all +3 with the old system (except maybe the flying camel sometimes).
I get that she ditched the biellmann to not deal with back injuries but now the sit positions are all worse also and that is not because of injuries, that is a clear sign that she is training spins less to work on something else.
Jumps are shakier besides the axel, and the bv is just lower especially in the free program. I don't understand if it is really that much better for her doing a 2a-3t in the second half (considering how the axel is so difficult for her) as opposed to her usual 3f-3t combo which is what she used to do in her entire career.
Like how about doing 3f-3t and 3s-3lo at the start of the program and then do an easier second half?
As of now i'd give her higher components than the previous years but at the same time lower TES for all the things mentioned above.

Good height, maybe some UR, but little PR in comparison to Zhenya.
