Russian figure skater Artur Danielyan showed impressive skating at the World Junior Championships in Zagreb, but it’s a pity that he didn’t cope with the quadruple jump in the free program, coach of the athlete Elena Buyanova told RIA Novosti.
“Of course, we are glad that we got to this championship, fate gave Arthur another chance. They were very pleased with the short program, he showed quite impressive skating, eliminated all the shortcomings during the season. he is doing well for him. But, as it turned out, so far only in training, "said Buyanova.
“And Arthur himself was most upset by just this - which didn’t show the quadruple. On the whole, the quality of the elements pleased, they love him very much, it’s nice when an athlete likes it,” the coach added.
Evaluating the performance of Danielyan this season, the agency interlocutor stated that the figure skater was late in it. "Due to the fact that he is growing, they tried to take care of him a little. For us, the main task is to preserve all of his qualities. We were engaged in physical training, pumped in, watched, tried to keep everything up. I think we had time. While he was growing , not final, but it is important for us that the athlete rolls healthy and progresses further, "the specialist emphasized.
"The guy is talented, soft, beautiful gliding, cultured in movements, it is quite rare in figure skating. Let's hope, but ... a spoon for dinner is good. We learn other quads, there is much to strive for. Without quadruple skating is just not interesting," Buyanova.
