I highly doubt he did too, it is after all a product line for females...I mean the other endorser is Yui Aragaki, one of Japan's most popular actress, she did the famous Koi dance Yuzu was copying in 2016. Not saying men can't use it though xD

I'm a man and I've been using that Blue medicated moisturizer for about 14 years now after recommendation from a friend^^
I highly recommend it~ Ive recommended it to most of my friends and they have also been using it since. Their sunblock is good too. The rest of their products I don't use and have never tried. So yeah I wont be surprised if Yuzu does use some of Kose's product especially the moisturizer^_^

Yuzuru once again is on ESPN World Fame list. He is 64th (last year he was 70th). He is the only athlete without social media
http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/26113613/espn-world-fame-100-2019#yuzuru-hanyu

And I didn't see anyone post about it. Yuzuru's skating boots were sold for 7,122,994 yen (64,000 US dollars)

I remember "endorsement" for Yuzuru was 0 last year, does anybody know how they figured out this year? And honesty I don't understand exactly the word "endorsement" means in English, is it the amount of money the athletes get from their sponsors? I converted 13.41 M (million?) dollars into Japanese yen, and my jaw almost dropped :eeking:

https://ameblo.jp/kose-sports/entry-12443581161.html Yuzu's first post in the Kose Blog. "I love cute animals!" and cats are his favorite.

I read this blog when I was on the bus...hope no one noticed me being weird :rofl2:

I dont use Sekkisei toner or moisturiser (the exact range on the poster) even though the promoter has given me many free samples over the years. Too much alcohol/chemical.
The only range I find suitable is the sunblock with spf 50.

Endorsement wise, this is one of the rare times I see a Japanese skincare product using a male ambassador. Korean brands do that with male celebrities, Japanese hardly.

Endorsement are just the advertisements/CMs. His "0" value in ESPN last year doesn't mean he had no CMs, but rather ESPN couldn't find out the amount he was paid. My guess is that with his new Kose deal (which apparently was actually struck back in December 2018), his total endorsement value was released or leaked into the market. There should be a source, otherwise ESPN would have just put in "0" again this year.

Of the top 100 athletes' endorsement amount, Yuzu's amount is ranked 35 and above the average amount of these top athletes. It's really the lack of social media account that is pulling him down to overall rank of 64. Also the search score is based off google, which means his biggest fanbase in Japan using Yahoo and in China using baidu are not counted. On other hand, its means interest in him is very high even outside of Asia.

I know he doesn't care about money much, but good to have an indication of him financially, especially with all the hard work and injury he went through.

Thank you for your explanation :thank:

Or alternately - and when you think about it, quite possibly - the endorsement figure is only the one or ones that did get leaked and it's still incomplete, just the CMs that ESPN could get numbers on. The real figure could be higher, and no one but his own people and the Japanese Tax Office may ever know... which is fair.

I don't know how legit this is, but looks like Yuzu and Kose have a partnership for forest preservation

Of course the Pooh's forest must be protected.

That makes sense, that he would link any new endorsement back to doing good for others. Our Yuzu really is something else personally as well as athletically.

It's Friday morning here :dance3:

Last night, I checked the videos of Worlds 2014 in Saitama on my HDD. Men's SP was on Wednesday, and Yuzuru appeared in "unofficial practice" at main rink on Sunday and he had press conference with Machida and Kozuka on the same day. He also participated in official practice at main rink on Monday. I don't know if he will do the same this time, but I feel like he is going to attend the practice from Monday, and also the press con may be unavoidable since he has been silent for a loooong time and media wants to hear from him.

Just my guess :p

So this blog is really "Yuzuru Hanyu show you how to pose with a doll" guidebook XD is he going to pose with the doll in 20 different ways all the way till mid April, or will they change the mascot ? they even accidentally got the head of the staff holding up the doll in this photo lol

https://twitter.com/nanaironopadoru/status/1106501979419754496 Sendai local TV aired this footage of Yuzu as a middle school student.

He is so unabashed about his dream of winning the olympics that he even writes in his graduation signature to his classmate "I will get Olympic gold”. He really had been living for it everyday.

Yuzuru wrote "肉" on Masanori's forehead, apparently he meant this

Yuzuru could not attend the graduation ceremony of Junior high, but school hold the ceremony only for Yuzuru and his classmates and other students came. Masanori says he really wants to see Yuzuru and hang out like they had used to, and he hopes Yuzuru values his free time and take good care of his body more than taking gold medals.

Today's voice blog update!

"Today, I'd like to talk about the origin of my passion. The origin of my passion is victory. If we have passion, we can show our power many times (more than we normally do). Without losing passion, I want to keep doing my best in the figure skating life from now on. Then, have a nice day!"

Next update is on April 2. The last message in the blog before Worlds is "The origin of my passion is victory", I am a little emotional now

Jason said in his tweet he was leaving Toronto, Yuzuru is also going to arrive Japan before noon :)
