I think Plushenko was a candidate for the Just Russia Party in this election.

I can't believe Anton represents the "one Russia" party... I have to admit I have just lost a bit of respect for him... Considering all the anti-Georgian policies of the current goverment and Anton's Georgian herirage..

I think Plushenko was a candidate for the Just Russia Party in this election.

I'm not sure about this particular election but Plushenko was a candidate for Just Russia or Fair Russia as some call it and won a seat in the city legislature.

I read in an article posted on one of his message boards however that Plushenko has a 51% chance of resigning his seat because he wants to come back to skating, because he is disappointed in the finish that Russia got at the Worlds this year.
