Nathan Chen

Exactly what I like about him. Which is also why I don't agree, when people complain that he doesn't emote enough with his face and has a blank expression throughout his programs. I certainly don't enjoy excessive face-acting that doesn't feel genuine at all.

My thoughts too, I prefer his sleek and cool style over the overly exaggerated expressions!

You gotta read between the lines and context of what just happened. He just beat the GOAT by 20 points and Raf is saying he could be better...and that he's just hanging on. if that's not bragging in a subtle way I don't know what is.

And we all know Raf likes to brag about how wonderful he is.

Totally agree! like a proud father who's trying his best to be humble. But we all saw his face when Nathan finished his FS:laugh:

Ramen seems to be Nathan’s favorite post-comp treat! No break from schoolwork though :p

Looks like he brought quite a few pairs of Nikes with him.

And yay for him attending the Figure Skating in Harlem gala - not only supporting a good cause, but we will get to see him wearing a suit again:luv17:

Looks like he is writing about a Boris Bergman performance of Brahms at Yale.

From the Russian interview:

“In fact, I have time for everything. And do not get tired! It’s about the proper distribution of your strengths and abilities, ”Chen explains. - On the one hand, everyone has 24 hours a day. But the question is how you will use this time. I read a lot of books on time management and brought up the concept of productive hours. The day should be spent so that every hour to do something necessary, useful. If you are asked in a couple of days what you were doing at this time - you should immediately remember. And do not regret wasted time. After all, this is the most expensive resource. "

Chen doesn’t waste time and energy on things that he considers unnecessary. This is the secret of cheerfulness - when you do what you like, it is not perceived as work and duty.

Just FYI, don't trust this article, imo (and many others opinion) this paper likes to gossip :') they just took all the articles they read and twisted facts from there into a new article  and probably parts about reading time management books, about a girlfriend were made up. And other parts

Yeah, it did seem like some parts did contradict statements Nathan has made in the past. The part about him not having a lot of friends due to racism seems odd, too.

ETA: And the last part about Asians not being able to go to a good university. Seriously, practically nobody in the U.S. would say something like this.

Oh good I thought it didn't sound like him and didn't make a lot of sense. Think some of it is from Raf's past interviews as well?

That back to the US then back in Japan then back to the US turn around is going to be tough.

The Match article is legit.
