I've just found out that Alina is only 2 months older than Rika Khira and Sofia Samodurova. I honestly thought there was like 2 years age difference between them.

Only now? Well, it is true that commentators and a part of the public are speaking of her as if she would have been years older than Rika and co., but there was a reason that people were celebrating her grandslam achieved before she is even 17.

I've just found out that Alina is only 2 months older than Rika Khira and Sofia Samodurova. I honestly thought there was like 2 years age difference between them.

They are virtually the same age.

Judging by her most recent stories, she's in Toronto (Hockey Hall of Fame and the aquarium). While we learn French, not everyone speaks it.

I can't believe how big she's gotten and look at her feet they are still growing! I hope she stops growing soon. I'm hoping this offseason Alinas coordination catches up with her growth. Stop growing would help. It's amazing she did as well as she did last season with all the changes she's going through physically.

It seems as though Alina has already been around for such a long time! She's still only 16 but is a veteran in the skating world. It's crazy how much has happened in the past two years. I know people are all hyped up for the super juniors and Eteri's next generation(s) of skaters but I hope Alina will continue to skate and thrive for a long time.

Those guys have hated on Alina since the beginning. Even after winning Worlds they didn’t give her any type of praise or acknowledgment. These two guys will never compliment her on anything besides her “pretty face” or “good spins”

Agreed. It's very frustrating to hear them talk about skaters who are a million times better and they are as having no talent or no skating scales. Crazy.

Did those 2 goofs say something about Diana? Someone wrote in a comment angry at those two for saying something about Diana. These 2 are not the sharpest tools in the shed they may not know that Diana is hearing impaired.

They know. They were saying that with Diana's backstory (overcoming her hearing loss) combined with the fact that she is Eteri's daughter they are expecting her to move up in the ranks of ice dancing. I think they were implying that Diana would get support due to her connections and her inspirational story.

It's possible. But they are just such jerks for saying that.

I loved it when Alina won and three Eteri/former Eteri girls were on the podium this year just to annoy them, I watched their post-worlds episode and they seemed extra annoyed. I'm hoping the Tutberidze girls and especially Alina keep winning everything just to annoy them, maybe it'll drive them away from the sport all together, would be a good riddance.
