I actually never noticed it untill it was mentioned on this forum. I honestly don't feel her arms are bad. They look okay to me. That is the least of her problems. Expression, Kimmie! Fake it if you have to.
I do love how he entered his jumps and posture was awesome IMO, just the ball holding look was / is a little odd and detracts attention from the blade work for me anyway.

I agree, Uncle Dick was showing his age. Back in the day, for some reason that rounded arm thing was considered high class and gentile. Sort of like pointing your pinky when you sip your tea.Now after listening to Dick's comments about the beachball I see where that a "slight" improvement has been made. I do however feel Dick's skating - appropriate for the time - was TOO beach ball IMO.

They look like this
"like this
"sorta"
She had a good smile, looked real anyway, and her fingers were spread but not "jazz hands spread." For some reason she reminds me so much of Tim Goebel, no matter how many quads he did in any program his artistry just wasn't there.and Kimmie Meissner has exceptional technical ability and poor artistry.
I don't see much improvement in her arms. I think the problem is not only airplane arms, but excessively stiff arms. Her arms look like if you pushed them down, they'd rebound and hit you in the face! In general, her arms are really awkward.
One suggestion I could make is that she should not wear bracelets or rings on her arms or fingers. This attracts attention to the issue more.
