New Surivior Show

Well, if Ravu loses tonight, I think Mookie is a goner!!! Other than that I have no idea what might happen. I just hope Dre keeps his mouth shut and helps win a challenge.

Dee

Mookie finds the other idol, Lisi gone, and next week they all get sent to exile island it that going to be the merge and make them all stay on exile island. That would be funny
After watching last night I notice that Rava hasn't even tried to make any kind of bed to sleep on they just sleep on the ground, I know they have the cave to stay out of the rain. Also I've not seen the rats like before guess no food whats going to bring them around.
Is it just me or are the tribes not loosing weight like before? Even Rava with their lack of food don't seem to have shead any pounds to me.

Go tribe Moto! I was so tickled to see Yao Man be the man to come through in the immunity challenge!!! And I just KNEW Moto was going to win the dancing reward challenge.

I am SO glad Lisi is gone. Talk about a woman's perogative to change her mind! As she and Dreamz sat there bickering back and forth at the tribal council, I said to my husband "those other 3 wish they could vote 2 off tonight I bet!"

It was just an all around great episode last night from Mookie getting the idol challenge, Lisi thinking it's still hidden, Lisi having another "meltdown", Moto winning the challenges.

Next week looks to be a very interesting episode!!!

I seem to recall reading someplace right before this new edition started, that there at some point was supposed to be this ''SHOCKING EVENT THAT WILL HAVE EVERYONE TALKING"; I am going to assume that whatever it is, happens next week.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad to see Lisi gone. With me, she last night officially surpassed Jerri Manthey as Most Obnoxious Female Survivor Contestant Ever. (Tho I haven't seen EVERY edition) [And the men's list is about a mile long....] At least Jerri had some sort of strategy behind her behavior, Lisi is just a flat out jackass. "Customer Service Representative"?? I hope not for any company that I would ever have to deal with......

It was nice to see a FUN challenge for a change, instead of more Death Match 2007; I was hoping they could get the judges to hold up little numbers like they do on Dancing With The Stars, but I suppose ABC would have gotten a bit irked about that.....

Yao Man: "I have no sense of rhythm." Yeah, THERE'S A SHOCK. What a STUNNING revelation.......

People still don't like Stacy?????

I was amazed that none of them held the arrow correctly, just naturally. That "pinch technique" I just can't see as a natural way to hold the arrow. Not that I think any of them were dumb, just odd how most of the people I have shot with the very first time they grab it place the fingers correctly. Holding the arrow in tension as they aimed was their biggest mistake, Yao was the only one that realized trying to hold it like that while you aim will require you are extremely stable. If he would have just aimed, puled back and let go as soon as the black lined up under the arrow he would have had a bulls eye no doubt.

Loved the Dance challenge, well one group anyway. I think they were just being nice to say "equal in spirt" for if that was true they would have both had practiced with the same veracity to the native dance and had a closer comp. Lisi just looked like she was mocking the whole thing - talk about poor posture.

About Lisa "changing her mind," I think the producers told her to come up with that, "oh, no, I really want to stay," 10 minutes before tribal council. Just to give them something to show on TV besides, Lisa wants out and everyone else is happy to oblige.

So Lisa thinks the other four are losers. She's gone, they're still there.

Could be, but I would wonder why would they just not show the parts of her saying she is done? It could be that she realized all my "friends" (that is a hard and scary picture to envision, Lisi's friends  ) are watching and I don't want them to think I am a "quitter."

So Lisa thinks the other four are losers. She's gone, they're still there.
YEP! ITA, who is the looser now Lisi? All I was thinking is "blame game," she had nothing to offer and thought they should pull her weight? That to me is a true "L 7"

For about 10 minutes last night my heart was beating pretty fast at Tribal Council. Dre is my person is our work game and I thought he might get the boot. I think he handled himself quite nicely when Lisi was being her usual obnoxious self.

How about that back flip in the dance, yay, for Dre.

We watch the show at lunch today on the big screen and I never thought about this but for some reason one of the women said she thinks Alex and Edgardo threw that challenge. She pointed out during the spear throwing part (I think) that Alex looks at Edgardo and Edgardo shakes his head no. Alex misses. When I asked what would be the point, she responded ..........I dunno!! I called her Lisi Junior.

Anyhow, Lisi is gone   and Dre gets to stay another week.

Dee

I was wondering if the was an "illegal move" and might disqualify them. Or really do the Fijians do back flips in their dance, might that be taken negatively. Neat, but I would have told him not to risk it.

Did I miss them look at the "planted" idol. I am wondering if that is the big thing next week they are referring to. I hope it doesn't disqualify Yao-man, or they take the idol away. But If someone trys to use it and Jeff let's them know....???? Oh nelly, they are going to be P.Oed. And what if trying to make a fake immunity Idol gets you kicked off and Yao doesn't confess and the "holder" is blamed and booted? Wow this is going to be really interesting to see what happens or a complete nothing.

I think the show is trying to make the immunity idol play a bigger role this time around. The first time it did not affect the game at all (Terry had it and he won all the challenges anyway, IIRC) and the second time it wasn't payed (although the threat of playing it affected the game).

I think the producers would like it if it turned out to be a big difference-makier this time. .

:agree: Totally agree, I was thinking that when they decided to have 2 of them. "This thing better matter this time or it will be a Joke of Survivor."

The whole scenario is so "iffy" anyway, having to use it before the vote? Most likely just for air time issues.

I have heard every name on this thread but Stacy's unless it is said by me. Why? I mean she got excited by the fact there were two other players that could be threats that could not figure out a "puzzle" and gave her some self confidence and hope. She got gitty about it. She is trying to aline with the best opportunities at the moment and people are frightened by how she really could go anyway in the game. Well someone said "little girl:mad:" (she's a woman DEE:p  ;) ;) referring to her, so one mention anyway.

Every time I hear someone say "they can't be trusted" about another I always wonder if that is the common rule in it's purest form. If you hate something it's 'cuz you do it to. And are some picking up on this. Michelle saying Stacy is the biggest threat, is making Michelle a bigger threat than Stacy for she is taking the threatening posture by saying / pursuing it. I have seen a number get "blind sided" for what might be exactly that, set it up, only to be setting yourself up. I like Michelle too, but regardless how I feel now, Stacy's my lady and I want her to win. And if the rest of them can't see that Michelle is just trying to secure the Role that her and Stacy so obviously share right now, they might see that happening down the line with Michelle when she wants their role too.

Dreamz, Yao and Stacy I think are playing the "best" games at present IMO.

Sean, don't be mean to me, please. I think I was stating what Alex said...........we are getting beat by girls and an old man.  The immunity challenge was perfect for Yao Man.

Dee

Sean, don't be mean to me, please.
I am sorry, I meant it as a fun way that you brought her up. There was a LOL in that. I think it is funny.

eta, I was think about this and feeling really bad DEE. I hope that you are just kidding for you know I would be really mad at myself if I hurt your feelings. I just meant it jokingly and hope you take it that way.

I mean, hey, at least you brought her up right.

  The immunity challenge was perfect for Yao Man.
 Couldn't be more true, well said.:agree:
*Sean takes a punch*

*Whew* And to think I lost a little sleep on that one:laugh: Not totally kidding for it was on my mind as I went to sleep and when I woke up. You are such a sweetie I would hate to give bad "vibes" your way.

I think it was the "please" in little type that kept me wondering. Oh, gosh, I hope it doesn't make you feel weird I thought of you while I was in bed:eek:

How about that Stacy Hunh!:agree:

Um -- maybe because she hardly gets any air time?? She gets so little air time that the only reason I remember that she's even playing this thing is because of YOUR posts.... (Part of this has to do with the fact that she's on the "low drama" tribe that doesn't have to go to tribal council every 5 minutes.). I seriously think she gets less air time than any time than anyone else on the show at present. Except for a little "talk to the camera" blurb she had the other night, since the "coffee press" incident with Lisi a few weeks back, she's hardly been on at all unless I've missed quite a bit. So when taking potential winners into consideration, it's hard to even keep her in mind. Talk about "flying under the radar" -- which just might work to her advantage.

True, that is one reason I have been incessantly mentioning her. I also think that besides MM, are all of you are ladies posting on this topic? I guess that might explain missing the segments of her in the Yellow Bikini:laugh: j/k

"under the radar" :agree:

Ding, Dong, Lisi's Gone!! Thank God. Between saying that she didn't take the challenges seriously and then calling her tribemates Losers, she just didn't deserve to be carried to the finals. Realistically, people would want to bring her to the end since she is not well liked.

Earl definitely carried the dance for Ravu since he was the lead, but the rest of the tribe studied hard to get in synch with him.

Moto was a joke in the dance, Lisi was the worst since she was almost always turning in the opposite direction from everyone else. At the end, they were all out of synch with each other.

The only reason I might have wanted Lisi to stick around was to see her reaction when the idol was used against her.

Love YaoMan beating a bunch of young macho guys. They were so sure that they could easily beat Ravu's women and old man (forgetting Earl, of course). Edgardo was sure the 'master' archer. Did his arrow even hit the target? Anyway, Yao proved that brains can beat brawn. Ever since Mookie made rude guesstures at Yao (he was so sure that Yao would not set the canopy on fire), I've disliked Mookie. This is at least the 3rd time that Yao has beat brute force (when he broke open the box on the 1st episode, the canopy fire and this recent challenge.) Get a clue boys, it takes more than brawn to succeed in life.

re. Lisi: Yeah, for someone who thought the challenges were a joke, she sure got pretty steamed when they lost that last one!!

I've disliked Mookie since long before the rude gesture thing, which by that point I did not find surprising. Using an analogy Anthony used a few times before being booted, Mookie acts like a high school jock or snotty frat boy who enjoys making fun of his "inferiors". Grow up, dude. I'm hoping he's the next one gone.
