  - WOW! Just saw the show last night in Vancouver. What can I say - it was Awesome. All the skaters were wonderful especially, Kurt, Jeff and Brian. The night of course belonged to Brian Orser. It was a love fest as soon as Brian stepped on the ice. At the end of the program Brian came on one last time and skated to his signature piece "The Story of My Life." I kept hoping he would. There was not a dry eye in the place and Brian got two standing ovations. The entire cast got a standing ovation at the end.

Of course Kurt was brilliant. I loved his Scarecrow program from the "Wizard of Oz." No one can skate like Kurt!!!

Loved Jeff and Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon brought tears to my eyes when they skated their "Somewhere in Time" program.

Mao Assada was exquisite and Todd Eldredge was fantastic as always. Jamie and David were wonderful and entertaining as they always are.

It was great.

I think though the highlight for me was Brian Orser. It was magic. He will be missed by his Canadian team mates and Canadian fans. Well done Brian and thanks!!! It was great.

Thanks for the reviewette:agree:

I think I am starting to like her:agree:

Jamie and David were wonderful and entertaining as they always are.
Not to mention she is pregnant giving all that great entertainment.

PS - I forgot to say a special "thanks" to Kurt Browning for such a spectacular show and for being such a great mc. As always Kurt lights up the arena as soon as he steps on the ice - it's a love fest with Kurt as well here in Vancouver.

I'm glad you had a great time at the show Lad! I think CSOI did a great job putting together a wonderful cast for the tour this year. Everything they did for Brian is a wonderful send off for him too so mad props to TPTB for a very classy send off to one of the best skaters out there.

Anyone knows why Sandhu doesn't take part in show? A surprise for me, I always thought he fits shows better than competitions...

Thanks for the link tagmats. Mao skated beautifully to that piece of music. Anyone know what it is? She just keeps getting better. To Ladskater thanks for your review. Sounds like you had a great time.

That was Nocturne In E-flat Major Opus 9 No. 2.

I liked her sitting down after the lutz. So cute:agree: !

Mao is in class of her own. However, if she loses 3A in the future , she will have nothing to back up. She can't do 3S, can't do 3T. There will only be three triples left, 3lutz, 3flip and 3loop.

Sandhu has been a guest star in the past but I guess he was not asked to do that this year. I know he guest starred with them recently but I can't remember if it was last year or two years ago. I hardly think any other skater's personal issues would change CSOI's minds when it comes to who they ask to participate with the show each year. It seems like they go with the skaters who have the 'buzz' every year if they're going to do guest spots at all.

My guess is that Browning doesn't like him.

Actually Kurt thinks very highly of Emaneul's talents on the blade. Last Year he had Eamanuel as a guest skater. I think Emanuel is still on the competitive scene and does not do any tours. I am sure he will once he hangs up his competitive blades.

I thought Jeff and Joannie were in the show.

Yes both Jeff and Joannie were in the show and skated quite a few numbers each. They both were great. Of course, Jeff is my favorite competitor now, but both Kurt and Brian have a special place in my heart. The night did belong to Brian and it was wonderful how the other skaters gave him the spotlight so graciously.
