I won't give up on them but a few of them have an uphill climb to get to the elite level even though they have elite talent. A couple of Nastyas come to mind. She didn‘t leave Eteri specifically, she left skating altogether. Then, after a few months she realised she missed it and came back and struggled to find a coach. When she talked to Serafima she tried out with Plushenko and stayed there. At least that‘s how I remember it. But I‘m no Russian speaker so no guarantee on it being correct.
Nastya is a fighter. She will do what she has to do. Don‘t give up on these girls so quickly, please.

That's right Anastasia Tarakanova did quit for a couple months. Sad she did not reconnect with her former coach. We have to remember and never forget how brutally tough this sport is mentally and physically on the athletes.
it's a horrible situation but girls and young ladies I'm assuming from all around the world are almost addicted to social media. Fortunately for me my two nieces and step-daughter are not addicted to social media like we feared they would be. They have Instagram but not Twitter or Facebook and we are all very happy about that because bullying online on the social media sites is an issue worldwide. Social media addiction seems to be more of them female thing than a male thing athletes or not. I'm not sure about why that is but that seems to be the case.Is it just me that is getting creeped out by all of the sneaky photos that @team.kamilavalieva keeps on posting from Kamila? Talk about invading the privacy being taken to the next level. I don't think it's right, nor healthy.
A lot of us here want the Russian Federation or any Federation to educate their athletes on limiting social media as much as they can. This way YouTube live stream situations with Shabotova and Gubanova may not have happened and those two young ladies would have been much better for it not happening.
Good luck to Nastya today. I hope she medals and gives an excellent performance like she's capable of.
