Well, the rest of her skate was good and the mistake did not matter in the end, but it's bit strange she had a problem with the same combo second time in the row.


I wonder if the ladies were not distracted by all the commercials painted on the ice (plus the hockey lines). It was distracting to spectators :/

Those lines etc. shouldn't bother the skaters. They are not supposed to look at their feet in the first place.

It looks like Nepela Memorial's organizers had some bad memories of poor Ondrej - the quality of broadcast picture and sound couldn't be much worse. The rest is not better - no subs, no live data, nothing. I still can't figure out the stats of Sasha, looks like she had around 163 FS and around 238 totals.

That's a little ungrateful from your part. I am glad there was a live stream in the first place.

ISU quality live streams as provided by Ted Barton and crew require 3 or 4 camera's, a director, a scoring operator and who knows what technical gimmickery. Not every LOC has these means and people at their disposal, nor the money to rent these.

Absolutely perfect 4Lz and mediocre GOE.

But the unlucky 3Lz+xLo combo helped to prevent the total Board disgrace. Without that mistake they'd have to give her 100+ for TES.

Skating skills 7.5??? Yeah, I understand the idea...

What was the best Lui's 4Lz attempt in terms of COP? Trusova's 14.72 is better than Valieva's best single jump score for her 4T, that's for sure.
Yet again, the GOE could be higher.

One competition and she has already gotten the WR... thats crazy.

I love how all of last season she struggled to get that 3 quad layout, and now that she's senior, bam she did it! I'm almost glad the lutz-loop mistake happened, so she has something to improve on ! But seriously, thats quite amazing. Also I love the dress. Anyways I'm speechless.
Congrats to Sasha for becoming:
The first lady to land three quads in one program (and the first senior lady to land two OR three quads in a program)
The first senior lady (that seems so crazy to say) to land a quad toeloop
The first senior lady to land a quad in combination
The current ladies' FS and TS WR holder

And may I also say that I think she has improved so much in the PCS department also. I thought she looked more refined today.

let me be the first to say, Sotskova is done like why did she return from last season, she stole a spot that would have been assigned to a better skater in good shape.

Sotskova is desposable now and have no use in russian ladies, could have Sinitsyna been eligible as a senior ?

Stealing Challenger spots, what? There are 3 spots at Nebelhorn that RusFed didn't fill. Not to mention those at North American Challengers.

Btw, saying that a skater is "disposable" is really questionable.
