Does anyone know why Stephane was a zebra during the Olympic season? Was it something to do with the music that he skated to (the four seasons)? I was like ???? when I first saw it, but gradually came to love it a lot :) Then I saw it again at the Worlds gala:agree: He was really cute:)

No matter what reason he used zebra pattern, this costume could go down the history as one of the ugliest costumes in figure skating. I don't like his shinny pants either. I have to declare that I loved his four season program, though.

This is the explaination from his official web...

By the way, for those of you who still wonder what Stéphane's costume has to do with Vivaldi's Four Seasons, here's the story: while listening to his music this summer, Stéphane heard a horse at the beginning of the piece and a bird at the end. Too original to keep it "that simple", Stéphane imagined portraying a zebra arriving in the land of Winter, not feeling welcomed there and thus spreading his wings to fly to a better place. This is how he decided to have black and white stripes on his costume, as well as orange and blue arms to represent parrot wings…

he has got really strange imagination:laugh: ...but I adore his Vivaldi program btw..

Somehow, knowing this tid bit of his how his imagination works just endeared him to me even more. I have to admit that I LOLed.

Great programme, but I would be pleased to never see that hideous thing again. I guess some like it, just a matter of taste. But that first post is the first I can recall of anyone saying they like it. That is art.:agree:

:agree:  Go Stephane!

Thanks for the explanation, Coco. I agree with Emma. If you really think about it, what else would a Zebra do if he found himself lonely and unwanted in Winterland, except spread his blue and orange parrot wings and fly away?

That beats Johnny's swan beak all to Dickens!

Thank you for your explanation. Now I have less "?????" :p

He appears to be a funny guy who has a Character, doesn't he?

Zebra CM shots where he presents perfect precision.

I may not like it if it wasn't Stephane:laugh: But his character and the costume come together.

I think he runs deep!!! He apparently irks Brian because Brian doesn't believe there is anything wrong with his knee.

That whole thing about being unhappy with life in skating, and then showing up with a colossal Flamenco just shows how deep he runs. Brian beware, he is not Johnny.
