Imagine we could have been stuck with 6-triple layouts, zero transitions and the easiest spins including a parody of a layback .
Sadly, that's what some people want to go back to because they can't accept change

Who the hell is TSN and when have they commented on Alysa? I think you have your facts mixed up.
Stop comparing Trusova with Biles, Biles must be compared with Bonaly, since Biles and Bonaly compete with men and nobody finds any artistic difference. Trusova will have limitations with her art but she is still present, she is very feminine and will obviously continue to improve as Zagitova did.

This kind of biased American commentary is nothing new. Watch any US commentary for major competitions from the 90s and you'll find it too. They would just endlessly bash foreign skaters for certain weaknesses but sing the praises of the US ones without fail

I think even biased commentary should have some limits without getting straight up nasty and rude. Sometimes, they cross that line and it’s not unnatural to be shocked at lengths these people go. Like, is it okay to say “you can go and have a toilet break during the first half of her program, because there’s not much jumping happening here”??? The hell, it’s so rude!
We all know if Trusova was from any other country, they would be overwhelmed with joy and pride over an athlete, who’s making history and pushing limits like no other. But some people are just jealous and don’t have much kindness in their hearts.

Trusova said her 3A is progressing, sometimes she falls, sometimes she lands double footed. Looks like she’s approaching landing it confidently. Oh god, she only really needs 3A to close any potential gaps where her competition might get a lead. Get it gurl!
Would that be the lengths to which Yagudin went? (Or at least the translations I’ve read). Rude, nasty and utterly uncalled for.
And the comments that Averbukh made, which I believe some posters here were laughing about. (And I am not at my desktop, so I cannot quote, but I will edit tomorrow) The translations I read, rude, nasty and utterly uncalled for.
Both commentators only proved that they were far from amusing and not at all informative.
I agree that all commentators should be like Ted. If only![]()
Omg, in what interview? I bet the short program of this competition really put some more fire in her to land it - get that poodle girl!
Wouldn't it be cool if Russia sent Trusova, Scherbakova and Kostornaia to Worlds
And Zagitova, Medvededa and Tuktamysheva to Europeans?
They would probably fill out the two podiums anyways![]()

Yep, I’m pretty sure I said Alysa doesn’t have it any easier than Trusova, but also doesn’t have it harder since Trusova probably experiences the harshest critique from everyone. You mean like all those fans who were saying the most disgustingly rude and pathetic things I have ever seen about Alysa when she won on the JGP, many of whom were Russian? So much so that the ISU has to issue a warning about tone when commenting on the skaters, the chats were turned off, and the comment section under the JGP videos was disabled.
Get real people. There are horrible nasty hypocritical jealous biased people in every nation including yours and it happens to skaters from all over. People are going to be overwhelmed with joy and pride moreso about their own skaters, period. That’s nothing that any country is more guilty of than others. If someone was to criticize Sasha but didn’t hold Alysa to the same standard then certainly that would be hypocritical as she definitely deserves a similar critique, but I see that kind of hypocrisy everywhere. It’s not like any of you were defending or giving a crap about Alysa when it was aimed at her.
I also think it’s possible to praise both Sasha and Alysa in one moment for doing quads but in the next moment talk about all the ways they can improve in the PCS categories (even if the language is sometimes blunt). If this was essentially what TSN did then I don’t see how they did anything wrong. They weren’t the ones offering nothing but praise to Alysa so you can’t call them hypocrites on this point. That information was incorrect.
