I would not say that, with the fall in the short she still had a 15 point difference to alyona who was in first place . I do not think she would have gotten 15 points for a landed 3a

Trusova is like You or Tuktamysheva in that landing the 3A in the SP won’t necessarily guarantee an 80+ score. She’s actually at 78-79 with a clean SP with a 3A. The point of the 3A in the SP is to lessen the point advantage that those that definitely will score 80+ with a clean SP will have (Kostornaia, Kihira) and to guarantee a spot in the last warmup group for Worlds.

The difference between Aliona and Sasha at GPF was more than 14 points. A 3A in SP wouldn't have been enough. The costliest mistake was the 2S. I think had she gone perfectly clean for LP she would have beaten Aliona (even with the 3A fall at SP), but it means two less mistakes.

Imo the margin Sasha has against Clean Aliona or Clean Anna is only one big mistake (a crucial one, like a doubling or a fall with <) and probably a minor mistake(a step out or a
< with no fall?).

I think the biggedt thing is, Sashas margin of error isn't as big as we believed(at least in comparison to Anya and Aliona) we also need to note, Sasha will most likely not get pcs in Anyas and Alionas realm, especially if they skate after another.

Um . . . no. They have the potential to one day be so, but at this moment they are developing skaters with probably the most technical difficulty in the ladies event in history.

I am a fan, at least of Trusova; but she and Anna and Alina--while all very talented for their age & featuring their own strengths--have a long way to go in order to develop their own style and interpretation on the ice to reach the level of impact I have seen from Mao, Carolina, Sasha, Katarina, etc. Bright & shining stars, for sure, but also a great deal to learn, develop, and hopefully one day share.

They are already superstars and way more famous than Mao, Carolina and whoever else. They have already made figure skating to peak of its historical popularity. The have overthrown all recent standards, gimmicks and "heroes". And all they clearly have their own style, more bright and famous, than anybody else ever had except only Zagitova.

Cinderella starts at the 27th and it looks like the show Anna, Maria and Polina participate in already happened/is happening, I looked on insta and I found some pictures titled with: "Princess frog"(this is the auto translation) so maybe it's the fairytale 'the frog king' but I'm not sure

I would like to wish good luck to all of the girls competing at nationals!! Hopefully they all have good skates and have some fun!! The pressure is insane, but if anyone can beat the pressure then it is the Russian ladies.

From what I’ve read on here, I am to understand that Tuktamysheva has to get at least a Silver to guarantee herself a spot or the aforementioned backflips to leave her off the World’s team - in the form of a preordained....I apologize, I mean rigged competition entitled the Russian Cup or a “council” will occur. Got it. At least that was made clear beforehand. I won’t get my hopes up.



She better be trolling with that mess. I absolutely refuse to believe that’s her planned layout. That 3T is a typo. It’s supposed to be a 4T. The 3Lz+2A is also a mistake. I’m under the impression that she’s fired up and on a mission to prove a point. That layout is giving up and I hope I don’t see that from her.

The 3Lz+2A sequence surprises me, I thought she would quit using that after the GPs. But I see why it's still there...

That 3T must mean she's trying 4T, and has replaced her second 3A with it.
That's the only thing that makes sense.

So no 3-3 combo because the problem with 4T is popping to a triple would Zayak a 3-3 if she replaced the 3Lz+2A sequence with one.

She doesn't have a loop combo and...does Liza ever do euler combos? I don't think I've seen that either.

No I don't think so, if Sasha falls twice Aliona or Anya are gonna slip through. We saw it at GPF and I have a feeling that the judges are willing to not prop her if she falls twice

She can afford to fall twice and still podium, winning? Not so much in my opinion. At GPF she fell twice and popped a jump and both Anya(who also fell once) and Aliona beat her in the free
