Zhenya's spin where she got level 2 was level in earlier comp. Exact same spin, not performed differntly.
All Eteri skaters got a PCS boost and huge GOEs and didn't deserve all of the. Even Liza's PCS went up.....so year, she was judged more harshly

All skaters get higher scores at nationals, IF they perform well.

The list on RusFeds site has been removed! Apparently Zhenya hasn't decided if she is competing or not and the list was published without her final decision! (Seriously, RusFed?!!!)

The list is up again and Zhenya is back on it, not as WD but as competing.

They were the best ones yesterday, that why.
Other girls have chances too if they start landing backloaded combos out of insane transitions, quads and 3a.

She is a 100% out, she went on 1TV and held a speech that she’s withdrawing and consequently will not aim for EC and WC.
Her new music for next season program is something from Cirque du Soleil.

Sad for Zhenya but it was the right decision. Unlikely she would have made the team anyway, skating and risking injury would have been a huge mistake.

It was so easy being a Zhenya fan a few years ago, she just went and won everything, maybe stepped out of a jump on a bad day. The reality is a bit different now, but I still enjoy her skating as much as ever. Sad to see her WD, but her health is the most important. Glad to see she already has plans for the next competitive season, she's a fighter and will come back stronger :clapper:

Why did she would draw or the FED withdrawal her? I can only surmise it was that damn boot issue again and two risks skating in those boots and a 4 minute program is riskier than it was for a 3-minute program.

On one of the small screens I am watching just saw Veronika Zhilina win her division in the Megasport "New Year" competition.

She stumbled out of her quad Toeloop and fell on her triple Lutz and Flip, so not her best outing.

I'm watching 1st channel live on my TV the entire day. About 1h ago, right before the Pairs FS started, they showed an interview with Evgenia where she explained why she's withdrawing.

From what I read there are two conspiracy theories: 1) fed made her skate 2) fed made her withdraw
In both cases, fed is the bad guy, whether they made her withdraw or made her skate.
Federation didn’t break her boots, the only culprit here is the ice of Krasnoyarsk and her boots company.

So sad for Zhenya, she likely would've made the reserve team but I'm very glad she's not risking her health today. In any case, she can be very proud of what she's achieved this season and know that she still has a huge amount of respect and support behind her. Looking forward to seeing her at full throttle next season!

Also, wishing Liza to have a great outing! She's the last of the veterans still in the race. Long live the empress!

(And good luck to the rest of the girls too. The 3 aces most likely have the podium in the bag but I'd love for everyone to come out with performances they'll be happy with.)
