Can someone tell me why kamila’s PCS are 3 whole points higher than Daria’s? Daria comes across as so much more poised, elegant, and expressive, just maybe not quite as powerful. I wish Daria was as hyped up as Kamila because to me she is just such a joy to watch, can’t take my eyes off of her, if only she had a quad.

I feel this way about her short program, which is absolutely stunning, but not so much the free. She tends to lose focus halfway through the free skate and becomes prone to mistakes, the connection to the music begins to lack. Despite that she was landing the jumps in the second half at positive GOE, there were some minor problems. I still felt that she was skating through the music and not emoting the way she does in the short. Her posture, transitions, and spins are at all times lovely though. I was glad to see her go clean this time and I will be looking forward to her performances at JW (especially the short program!)

I think Sofia S could have pulled off the bronze internationally but domestically it’s the Eteri show right now. At least she has earned the JGP and can go out there next year and show them that she deserves a seat at the table.

What is it with you and these young girls??!! They are kids for god's sake, it's fair enough for you to not be a fan of the quads but that's your opinion

Is this Daria's first clean competition of the season? The performance was also lovely, she really does well with these sappy love songs. They made a good choice as it does set her apart from the others. Kamila's 4T might be the biggest jump in ladies. She's also quite musical and has amazing skating skills and charm, but I don't love her combos. Too bad Sinitsyna didn't have a clean competition, I do hope she gets the JW spot but we all know that in selection only nationals counts, not the season. Just ask Gubanova, Tarakanova, Kanysheva, etc.

As for Maiia her 4S in warm up was massive and beautiful, but I must have something against her as I really can't like her. She has really pretty lines and soft arms (perhaps the best in the field here?) but I just think she is so boring and when I watch her I can only draw the comparison to Sotskova. Even with the quad. That being said she might get the JW spot and she wouldn't be underserving but I hope it goes to Siniysyna.

Akatieva has quite incredible presentation and skating skills for a 12 year old. I'm not sure that the skates here were anything close in brilliance to her performances on Ice Age kids, but she's quite special. And a new discovery for me is Petrosyan. She seems to love being on the ice, and her musicality may have shades of Anna magic in there. Both she and Akatieva are playing the long game though; they aren't eligible for next olympics. And speaking of olympics, at least one of 3A and Kamila will be left off the team. And also other brilliant girls like Sinitsyna, Usacheva, etc. Maybe it's a blessing that Akatieva and Petrosyan aren't age eligible this cycle.

You are very rude and disrespectful, you need to start thinking before you speak because imagine if you were Anna, would you like to if you are trying to work really hard with your skating and a bunch of strangers are hating and insulting you! Especially for a kid!
Besides, Anna is amazing, sweet, wonderful, hard working, determined, strong and so much more
Please just stop hating because constantly hating people who have done nothing wrong will get you no where in life

History suggests the opposite. In terms of CSKA vs. Sambo, Sambo never gets the advantage domestically (regardless of coaches whether it's Eteri or not). Internationally, we see that skaters at Sambo are ahead while skating pretty much the same as they did domestically. Some examples were when Yulia and Anna Pogorilaya were at Samboa and Adelina and Maria were at CSKA. From my understanding, CSKA has huge political power, but much of that came with Buyanova and Samodelkina is not coached by her.

I have permanent hate for everything that is unfair and for everything that is cheating, sorry, but not sorry. Prefer skaters with better technique.

Likewise I have a particular aversion to self-proclaimed judges who like to fancy themselves as experts in skating technique and artistry. I highly doubt anyone with sense should listen to anyone who spouts bile and malice at every turn. Surely anyone with a hint of good judgment should at least maintain even a façade of objectivity.

So I agree that the quads are pre-rotated and have flat edges, but I don't think we need to get into what she "deserves."

Think so too, the old guard is still pretty much affiliated or even belonging to CSKA, has TAT and several other media people, but most are getting on in years and are loosing their touch.

#TeamTutberidzeForProgress is a threat to their position, for the successes of their skaters can no longer be denied nor ignored. FFKKR obviously has recognised this.

No she is not, but she is judged as If she is one of the best skaters who ever graced the face of Earth. She is judged as If she has perfect quads, perfect technique and jumps with huge height and huge distance. Which means that she can take the place of much more deserving skaters like Kostornaya and Rika. This is not fair.

Wow, that was just incredible and I didn’t even watch the whole competition!! Maia did very good and her quad was almost there!! The rest of her triples were beautifully executed as well. I am not sure if I like her dress for this music, but the outfit doesn’t matter very much to me. I hope that she has found her confidence, her being an Eteri student is really starting to show. Next, little Adelia :luv17: What a little cutie!! She has all the potential in the world to become a star. She’s certainly got the smile!! Seeing her in the kiss and cry with Eteri gave me flash backs to when Evgenia was that tiny and cute. I have not had the time to watch the Sofia’s yet, but from Ted was saying I am sure that they were wonderful. Kamila skated very well today and I was happy to see her smiling in the kiss and cry!! Those quad toes were huge. She gets such good height it’s incredible!! Lastly, Daria was wonderful as always. I have been waiting all season to see that program clean and it finally happened!! She had such a good save on that flip combo. I got scared and thought that she wouldn’t be able to hang onto it, but she did!! I feel like she wouldn’t have been able to save it during the season, so I am glad that she has grown in her confidence. Overall... WOW :eeking:

If Anna's quads aren't huge and don't have amazing height and distance, I don't know what jumps do. And no, her quads are not judged as perfect. She averages +2/+3 per comp, which is far from perfect. Height, distance, entrances, and air position, and good landing are more than enough for +3, all of which she has.

But sure, let's put on our distorting glasses and see that her quads are tiny. And her measured jumps, never mind the actual numbers. And that +2/3s are actually +5s. I get it now, tiny overscored jumps.
