Stasya confirmed what I said few pages ago: Plushenko was the only who 'gave her a chance'.
Would have been better if you included the source and quoted the information:
“ I really want to work, I am very grateful to Evgeniy Plushchenko, and Aleksandr Sergeyevich Volkov, and Martin (Dazhene, a coach in the Volkov group). They and I have to do a lot of work together - especially myself - to make something work. They gave me a chance while some other people didn’t believe in me ”, Konstantinova told over the phone.
“ I’m ready to work and recover, what’s going to happen - we'll see. But I am very focussed on working and really want to live up to expectations ”.
Konstantinova noted that “ recently I went through a difficult period ”.
“ I was not in very good shape this season, and it is clear that no one wanted to take on such responsibility (to train an athlete) ”, she added.
When asked if it was too late for the skater to change her coach, Konstantinova replied: “ I can’t say that because I didn’t have any plan, I live as my heart and head tells me. When everything comes down to me needing to make changes in my life, then I'll do so. When there are no serious preconditions, I don’t think up anything and I don’t look for any reason in anyone. I never had time for special thoughts ”.
“ In the current competitive climate, motivation is not needed, it is permanently present ”, Konstantinova added. “ There are times when it’s hard, but during this forced break, I realised that I can’t do without figure skating, and I don’t want to waste time just like that, but I want to do my best. I’d like to thank Valentina Mikhailovna Chebotaryova, our choreographer Olga Yuryevna Klyushnichenko and our GP specialist Mikhail Yuryevich Semyonenko for the fact that they trained me, they worked so much with me, even when things weren't easy. I want everyone to be happy thereon ”.

She probably fell into some kind of depression and I think we must be glad she pulled herself out and found a new rink. Wether everything works out for Stanislava as intended, it's too early to tell. It's also a chance for Plyushchenko's Academy to prove that it is able to work seriously with a high profile competitive skater. So no doubt the developments will be followed closely by insiders and the media.
Volkov however:
Volkov: Konstantinova is absolutely out of shape. At the PE, she "dies"
The coach Aleksandr Volkov, under whose leadership Stanislava Konstantinova will work, assessed the condition of the athlete.
“ At the moment she is completely out of shape, but (she) really wants to work, and we, as trainers, should do everything possible, and maybe impossible, for her ”, said Volkov.
The coach emphasized that it was not necessary to change the technique of the 19-year-old athlete, it was only necessary to correct it. The goal is to bring Konstantinova to such a form in half a year that she can compete in competitions.
“ The main thing is that the athlete wants this. While I see that she really wants. We have large loads, it’s hard for her. At the PE, she “dies”, but I explained to her that this is necessary during this period ”, said Volkov. He explained that during the competitive period the loads will be reduced, and Konstantinova will no longer go on the ice this season.

So no Russian Cup Finals, no top level funding next season? Unless she is added to the 'bye list' along with Medvyedeva and Zagitova? Blocking the way for prospective skaters to advance??
