I get that. But Gracie really isn’t capable at this point whilst Sasha is because we can actually see her land them in competition, just not the full layout yet.

Gracie pre-competition break was the same way, what you saw in practice was rarely delivered in competition (not hating Gracie, stating a fact). Politely I think you are hung-up on the name that was used as an example, it's the sentiment, skaters get medals based on what happens during competition time not what they can do in practice.

I guess her problem isn't Eteri, but not *enough* Eteri time so to say. And since more Eteri time wasn't possible, she tried to find something close to that (i.e. Sergei + individual training time) Of course, that's all speculation by now. But I think that could potentially be the motivation

On the other hand, it's possible that she managed to get her name written in record books, become record holder in FP, beat anybody but 2 of other Eteri girls while not having Enough attention from Eteri and now having enough attention,she will destroy everything.

We will have to wait and see just IMO, right now, first version looks more realistic.

That all depends on how the judges are feeling about their favourite club after all the dust settles I guess. Exciting to think other skaters/clubs might get a look in or fair scoring. The possibilities are endless!

Not forgetting the possibility of 'envelopes' making things happen or old allies being called to pay off old debts .... Figure skating judging is a finicky business after all, with Msrs Prins etc.

But what we should not forget is, that over time her content became harder and harder, so I guess she now needs more attention than she needed the years before. Lets say she was fine with the amount of focus she got when she had 3/Quads in the Program (like Anna does now, she seems to feel fine attention wise from what we know) , but then, Sasha kept complicating even more, and needs now more practice and attention time (training a 5 Quad program) than she needed before (with a 3 Quad program). Eteri's team cannot give more than what they already give (because I assume the give the maximum they can). So Sasha ends up having not enough time to practice and stabilize a 5 Quad content with a trainer.
So her needing extra individual time would be a more recent develeopment then.

That is what I think may have happened.

You had a big mistake and you don't know Plushenko at all. He was very honest always from his childhood, as many other Russians. But he didn't want to be everybody's sweetheart never. In his peak time he knew he has millions of fans all over the world and in Russia, too and he remained an international superstar. The people buy the tickets for him everywhere his name is golden. Look at his shows in Russia, too. This is the reason why he is o many shows in Japan, and in Europe, too. What happened with him after Sochi was disgusting only the Russians could do that. Sorry. I have a question can you imagine one of the Putin favorite sportmen , (Putin supported him all the time, according to some rumours he asked Evgeni to compete in Vancouver because wasn't a significant skater to compete) wanted to trick his president? They are in good relationshps they played hockey match together not once. You kow I'm among those fans who were close to Evgeni's story we had connect with yana, zakarian by the Russian and the internatinal fun club's leaders. ( RIP dear Cekoni ). We followed his every step in his preparation, many of us travelled to the Volvo Cup in November of 2013. Tha was his first competition after the surgery. You can't imagine that support! The organizers were in shock, they were desperate they can't handle the media interest, so many people arrived in the competition.
That is really stupid who thinks he faked the injury, and he had no surgery! One of the 4 titan screws has broke in his spine. He could't skate in individual competition. And I would have given him an Oscar if he had played that! Ridiculous.
He was loyal to his country, his coach, his family, his lover all the time.

About his wife. I know who was Yana's first husband. I don't care about it. It's not my business. Yana (and Plush) are rising two great young Baturin boys. They passed their exams, they speak english very well they have nice future. Kolya has rap album already. Yana is a great mother, strong, smart, talented, workaholic, strong-willed woman. Yes, not a typical Russian hausewife, she is a divisive personality. Annoying. But she has 2, 7 millions followers on Insta, so who cares about haters as you? Forget her you will be menthally sick

Jumping a five quad routine routinely in training or simulated warmups is one thing, trying to get the same routine warmed up/run through in the six or minutes before the free program was the main problem/challenge for Aleksandra in practice, I believe.

Here there are many variables out of a skaters control, including the start order.

There‘s no gap. Sasha was her own person, whoever takes up the vacant places in their rink is going to take up their own place, not „replace“ Sasha. She’s irreplaceable in my heart, our little dragon lady!

I have to say I am very exited. If she gets a program even half as good as Tarakanovas FS was, that's a huge choreography win in my opinion

I rather wonder if there will be any "new" programs this year-God knows when they will get back to the ice.

Sometimes we are the lobster, sometimes we are the Titanic. Life's like that.

My only opinion on this transfer is that Sasha (and every other skater) gets to do whatever she wants with her own skating career. This move has just as much chance of succeeding as not. Time will tell. Even if turns out to be a 'mistake' in some people's eyes, it's her journey, her one and only life. Sometimes only you know if you've won. I'm inclined to believe her determination will see her through.

A lot of people counted Alina out before the 2019 WC. Even Alina counted herself out! Look how that turned around. Anything can happen in skating. The things you think will never happen - happen! Especially in May.
