unfortunately sarcastic humor does not always come across in text

This is ridiculous.
Is "I believe" worth more than a rumour? I do not think so. Doesn't the internet spit out anything? She was fired after she posted an interview with Anya Shcherbakova where she deliberately misquoted Anya (forgetting that there was an audio recording), I believe.
Off topic, but has there been any news on Viktoria Vasilieva's injury recovery?
Well if you consider interviews with actual former skaters from that group only as rumors, then i don't think there is anything left to discuss on this subject.
Like i said, many facts are already out, the others still have to come or they've been canceled. Those who want to read them and consider both good and negative news, will have a pretty clear picture on the situation, the others will only see one side and ignore the other.
On the rest: Vait was already criticized for other opinions she had in the past on that group, it's not just for one interview, that was probably the excuse to fire her.
26 people are on that council, but they all take sides, as proven last year when they had to vote between Medvedeva and Tutktamysheva, most of them obviously stand for Tutberidze because she is the leading coach, why wouldn't you?

I'm not following the daily fight between two posters here. I'm asking this general question to the forum

Downloaded it by torrent. Very good movie, life drama of a single father and even if figure skating issues are a bit simplified in there, it's still showing great love of a young girl to this beautiful sport. Fs scene and fandom should be grateful for such beautiful film imo.I've even seen the first movie. From the sport point it was crap but as a romantic film it wasn't bad.
I've found out about the movie thanks to Ice Age Kids, where Ovsyankina&Orechov skated to the music from it (with Averbukh's choreo) and Tarasova then used her time to tell the world how bad the movie is![]()

About this whole Plushenko war, is there any reason to assume that he is a bad coach? Like actual proof. I think it's just too early in his coaching career to even find out.
Or is the reason why people don't like him the fact that they don't like his personality and antics? I personally also can't stand him (that video of his Sochi FS makes me cringe everytime) but there are many subjectively unlikable figures in the sports world and it's totally unrelated to their level of success. Actually, many of the greatest achievers are... "eccentric" to say it nicely.
Actual former skaters usually speak highly of Eteri, Shuboderova is the only real exception. But of cource, if someone filters the information through the "Eteri controls media" narrative, then it is hard to get to any reasonable agreement. Previously when Polina Shelepen spoke highly of eteri, she was blamed of Stockholm syndrome here. Now the delusion obviously reached anoter level with alleged "Eteri controlling the media".
As for Vaitsekovskaia, she was talking BS definitely not just about Eteri. She was the exact opposite of what a journalist should be.
As for you bringing Medvedeva vs. Tuktamysheva here, like seriously? It has no other sense than to make the RLT nothing but the conflict zone. Useless :dumb:

Do you have any factual evidence that Vaitsekhovskaya was fired because Eteri insisted on that, as you claim? On the rest: Vait was already criticized for other opinions she had in the past on that group, it's not just for one interview, that was probably the excuse to fire her.
And what would've been Tutberidze's gain in pushing that decision? Both were competitors to the skaters in her group.26 people are on that council, but they all take sides, as proven last year when they had to vote between Medvedeva and Tutktamysheva, most of them obviously stand for Tutberidze because she is the leading coach, why wouldn't you?

Unfortunately, there are only Russian ones atm.Hooray for a different topic. Thank you for the recommendation :agree:
Now I'll have to find the subtitles![]()
My question was sincere. I don't know the interview or the correction. So I asked for a link.? Uhm, she was fired after that interview with a misquote came out, wasn't she?
Not from me that's for sure, you can find my positive comments on Eteri Tutberidze's work from previous seasons and her former skaters, the results they achieved are unquestionable, while the system in place in order to achieve them, that's more debatable whether is good or bad for the sport... In recent years other users like Edwin have kept us up to date on all things Sambo70 so i don't find the need to mention the other interviews, but i'm not pretending they don't exist.
I also do remember what Tarakanova and Tsurskaya said on hiding injuries at Sambo70, you can read along the lines on some of those interviews and articles, as much as everything is often scripted, and that's a known fact in figure skating in general.
While i don't fully agree with everything Vaitsekovskaia said in the past, there was also some truth in there, i think Eteri fans should respect her takes more even without agreeing with her cause it's a different perspective, you need that as well. She called out back in the Lipnitskaya-Shelepen days the main flaw of ET system, that their skaters only shine pre-puberty, and predicted Medvedeva and Tsurskaya would have fallen under the same trajectory, which we all know it was going to happen with Medvedeva and it happened with Tsurskaya.
To this day many ET fans still refuse to believe that, even though it's a clear trend now.
No problem bringing up the whole Medvedeva - Tuktamysheva vote, i like both, and was happy for Zhenya when she medalled at Worlds, but i still think Tuktamysheva should have been there, and judging at that Cup Final event was debatable to say the least. The votes after clearly showed where that council stands.
Can you provide a quote from any of those interviews that might warrant an investigation, please? And with facts, if possible.

For the sport, yeah, so actually not for the skaters. It's so wide that it could be "the ultimate question of life, universe and everything" easily. You can put absolutely anything into the agenda of what's good or bad for sport. It's like when a politian explains to the people what is and what isn't good for the country. And it's similarly useless. Also I don't like those hidden suggestions of the kind "it is a question whether xy..." that look like a question but in fact push the answer. It's logical fallacy.
Vaitsekovskaia has zero respect from me for whatever I've ever read from her. It's not just different perspective, it's different reality.
Trajectory. Tsurskaya's trajectory was that she didn't want to compete. and I don't think compete in the environment of Khrustalnyi, but to compete at all. She simply wanted to do other things in life, that has nothing to do with Eteri or any other coach. Evgenia. Her trajectory was silver at olympic games (is that a small accomplishment?) not because of "descending trajectory", but because she was defeated by her teammate with stronger technical content. And we could continue with every single so called trajectory. So called trajectory is nothing more but fabricated term.
Can’t we just agree to disagree on our opinions of Eteri. :sarcasm:
Who do you guys think will get invited to test skates this year? Will it be the main national team or will they invite the reserve team this year too? This can be for both junior and senior skaters. This is also assuming test skates will still happen.
How many usually get invited? LAst year I remember 9 with Tarusina pulling out, and 8 for seniors.
I know Samodurova and Guliakova are ahead of Sinitsyna on the national team list, but I think Ksenia should be ahead of them both. I love Guliakova and I'm so hyped to see her on the Grand Prix, but either her or Sofia are probably going to stay home from test skates sadly.
