I wonder what the FFKKR presidium will make of this comment by Plyushchenko from the Sport Ekspress exclusive:

Я знаю этих судей, даже знаю, где они бывают и кого они подкатывают.

"I know these judges, I even know where they are and who they drive."

A veiled threat, or just more bull?

Oh yeah now you mention it I do vaguely remember hearing he was a skater...or at least I tried to find him on YouTube, alas I could not. I'm always intrigued at seeing coaches from their competitive skating years (if they had them) just to see how they skated. It's a fun insight!

There are plenty videos of Danny G competing though. Let's say he wasn't the most consistent skater.

Oh wow, that was a ride! The costumes were a choice (the neckline for the Carmen is next level :laugh:), he had a mullet... Nice footwork though, shame about the jumps.

Then he went into ice dance and was pretty good (nice twizzles!)

I don't like his interviews or the way Elizaveta Berestovskaya's face always seems to drop in his presence. He doesn't make waves with other coaches but I am not sure that I would trust my child's health to him. Sergei, and Urmanov do seem kind and reasonable. Panova doesn't create false drama either, and she produces my favorite Russian skaters (consistently good technique, lovely SS, and good programs). However, I can't say if she is a reasonable and kind coach. I just know I like the results she produces.
 
children in sports are more afraid of their trainers than their parents it often seems

and these are all children from affluent middle-class families that don't run the risk of being thrown out onto the streets when their trainer dumps them

Sports psychologist Olga Tyunova, in an interview with the journalist of the Japanese version of the Sputnik publication, shared her opinion about the negative impact on young figure skaters of scandals started by Plyushchenko-Rudkovskaya at Tutberidze's.

As Plyushchenko said earlier, coach Sergey Rozanov, whom Aleksandra Trusova took along from Eteri Tutberidze, no longer works with Sasha.
He devotes her time exclusively to Alyona Kostornaya, who decided to go over to the Angels in the wake of Rozanov.
Which did not please Aleksandra Trusova.

As David Lease said:
“It's not a secret for anyone that Kostornaya was a diva at the Eteri skating rink, and that she had an argument with Tutberidze.
According to rumours, Kostornaya and Trusova could not stand each other, and Shcherbakova was between them.
Aleksandra saw that Ilinykh was working a little with Kostornaya, and Yelena was immediately expelled from Trusova's coaching team.
Sasha hates Alyona, that's quite clear."

My language skills are not sufficient to understand the interview. But I imagine that the psychoogist is right. It has to be disquieting to young people to see the adults that they look up to acting this way. :(

Is this video produced by TSL? I don't see what TSL or David Lease has to do with it. Or why Lease thinks he has any special knowledge of the jealousies and "who hates whom" of teenaged girls. Sentences that start out, "according to rumors ..." are not generally worth repeating.

If that's true, Shcherbakova had to be breathing a sigh of relief when Trusova left and then another sigh of relief when Kostornaia left. Additionally if it is true then Plushenko could be painting himself into a bad corner with the situation because all the other skaters are seeing him giving special circumstances to these 2.

Don't know if there's any truth to the rumors mentioned but I said it when it was announced that Ilinykh was no longer working with Trusova - its seems odd that she can't keep a coach: left Eteri for coaching disagreements, it was announced Rozanov was choreographing both her programs but by test skates he's got nothing to do with her and now Ilinykh.

I think David Lease latest video is probably taken a bit out of context. He was just "feeling" the situation and giving his commentary (with hints of unproven gossip "here and there") based on what we all saw and read lately between the coaches. He didn't confirm anything, but rather just adding his own views on the matter.

Even stranger is that Sasha's ISU profile now has Elena Ilinykh listed as her choreographer even though Plushenko literally just confirmed that Elena and Sasha are no longer working together.
Shouldn't Rozanov still be the one listed though, since he's the one that choreographed both of her programs this season? :scratch2:

I agree. But the girls know the truth Trusova and Kostornaia knows why and how they left TT. One of the coaches is much more ( I don't name anybody ) riciulous and a liar. But of corse the whole situation is disquieting for them, I hope they don't read news regularly and don't read comments on internet.
 
ISU profile information had probably been submitted in advance of the pseudo GP series, now fallen apart into national events, some cancelled already.

Perhaps somebody will take offense and demand ISU to address the situation and rectify?

Hell yes, I wouldn't trust TSL to tell me the weather if they were standing in it!

And on the back of that interview from the psychologist how low is that video? Suggesting Sasha is petty, jealous and hateful? Did she tell them this personally? If not they should keep their mouths shut, as we can see there's already people on the thread thinking Sasha has an attitude problem. The only attitude I saw from Sasha at Stage 2 was a positive one.

Those guys are just awful...

Shcherbakova is like the kid who never talk in class but gets good grades. She's there to just do her job.
She's the only one who took defeat with grace and smile last season. Even knowing how close to victory she was (if TP hadn't done its job at euros she would be euros champ.).
Maybe she will leave too for her own reasons but she seems less focused on rivalry.
