That is very strange, Pang/Tong killed Dube/Davison on the second mark, and yet they are still behind. Their technical mark is extremely strange, maybe they had something downgraded or broke a rule or something.

I dont think this is a sign of the judges preference, as much as I would like to think that. Look at the PC marks for both teams, the judges had Pang/Tong way ahead, they had the younger Russian team closer to Dube/Davison then Dube/Davison to Pang/Tong. I am guessing there is some unknown deduction.

D/D have not really made much improvement, it's pretty bland program. I guess p&t's 3t was downgraded, and pang's th3loop a bit messy although slo-mo showed it's clean. I also believe some of their elements such as sbs spins/comb spins were graded fairly low level
