I like Emily and Spencer’s costumes for both short and long programs but the short is awesome

I chose 'other'. For me, best pairs costumes, particularly over the last several seasons is an acknowledgement that should go to Ellie Kam & Danny O'Shea! Kam/O'Shea upped the pairs costume ante with such elegance, thoughtful intention, and complementary grace. Coupled with their brilliantly choreographed programs and music selection by Marie-France Dubreuil. M-F saw what makes K/O so special in their gorgeous movement style, and she further enhanced it. IMO, it's obvious that K/O have greatly influenced pairs programs and costumes, despite this distinction not being truly noticed or acknowledged.

I didn't get a chance to nominate K/O in the other thread. In any case, K/O were nominated last season in the general Best Costume category of the ISU Awards. And they deserved that nomination and recognition. This season, K/O's sp costumes were inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi: mending broken pottery with gold.

Metelkina's costume mostly stands out for its red color, and its flashiness. That's their approach overall, IMO: flashy, gimmicky, attention-seeking. Berulava has the most scary, poor footwork during lifts. Contrast that with O'Shea's steady, competent lift footwork. M/B are generally overscored, but I don't argue with their tendency to be consistent on their jumps and throws, albeit that Metelkina sometimes makes mistakes. The judges love jump consistency, though, and M/B are 'me, me, me' attention-grabbers.

Miura/ Kihara's gray costumes look good, but re the nominations, I would otherwise vote for Stellato/ Deschamps in this pairs category. Deanna's sp and fp designer costumes are gorgeous and beautifully made. Max's costumes complement her well.

I am going to give a quick shout out to Sui/Han's Tapestry of a Legendary Land. Those costumes were stunning

Nice feature on the costumes, like how they came into being. Deanna should maybe put that costume (and the other one which didn't enter here) in a vault!
