To you and whoever liked your post, I'm sorry the level of attack on Anna has not met your expectations and it made you salty.
It's just not good the 16 year old Anna is not receiving the same amount of hate as your favorite skater.
Maybe by tomorrow Anna will receive more nasty comments and you guys will feel less salty.
Or here's another option, show respect for ALL the skaters the way they respect each other.

She is often so astute and intelligent, but I think Anna had a wrong take with the view of: everyone was telling me to withdraw so if I failed I would be wrong, but I didn't so in the end I was right. The problem is it won't necessarily serve you well to think this way in a lot of situations. I hope without all the adrenaline she'll be able to properly appreciate the legitimate concern others around her had. On the other hand, she's a teenager so some rebellious feelings are absolutely natural at this age!

You probably haven's seen much of sport, then. Many times there were cases when an athlete gave all of hm despite his condition, injury etc. Claiming a doping without a single proof just on personal distaste for something is nasty.
Yes, that's called adrenaline rush. And it really is sort of like doping. Anna is such a competitor, I bet her body was full of this stuff.

Exactly. I know it from the fight. :) I received such punch that even now twenty years later I feel it on my teeth (some parts of them are out) but thanks to adrenaline I didn't feel it at all till the fight ended.

After all, on the press conference, when they asked on Anna's health, Anna replied "currently I'm still on adrenaline so I can't say now." And whatever the critics say, that's how it works with the top athletes.

Is there any idea how the RusFed will decide next season National team members and GP spots after this weird season? Before the Nationals Nugumanova was talking about getting in to the top 9 and that her goal was to make the team for next season. And most likely, this is a big part of why she cried so much at Kiss and Cry (Ted, of course they were tears of happiness!) But considering Alyona and Zhenya not being there, surely it won't be that simple.

Well, despite that some people have written the worlds off I think there will have to be one, Maybe not in march but later, because the qualification for the Olympics has to be done somehow (frankly there are skiing competitions being held cureetly, there are football competitions, ice hockey, I don't know why figure skating should be an exception). So, first they have to put a team for the worlds (whatever form it will have), partially according to the nationals, partially according to the cup final and maybe some other national competition, then the "worlds" will happen and then they will decide about the national team for the next season. But whatever will happen, I guess there won't be much change, Anna, Sasha, Aliona if healthy I can't imagine them being out of the team, then Kamila moved from juniors, I would guess both Lizas and at least Daria. The question is Alina and Evgenia, it will probably depend on their health and form (Evgenia) and personal wish (Alina)

On the other hand, maybe it is not so crutial how the team will be composed at the beginning of the next season, because there still will be another nationals, cup stages, maybe GP series and all this will still impact who will represent at Europans, olympics and worlds in the brave new vaccianted world :)

I'm not particularly an Anna fan or an Eteri fan but I just want to say smth about COVID19. Unless you are immunocompromised, you typically are no longer infectious 10 days after the start of your symptoms. Thus means that even if Anna had covid-19 in November, the chances that she would infect people at nationals are slim to none.

But this is the problem: My sketched power rankings for that team after RusNats:

1. Anna SHCHERBAKOVA
2. Kamila VALIEVA
3. Aleksandra TRUSOVA
4. Alyona KOSTORNAYA
5. Daria USACHEVA
6. Elizaveta TUKTAMYSHEVA
7. Evgenia MEDVEDEVA
8. Alina ZAGITOVA (if she feels like it)
9. Maya KHROMYKH
10. Elizaveta NUGUMANOVA

And just behind Nugu a couple of Mishin girls (Samodurova, Gulyakova) and couple of Davydov girls (Tsibinova, Frolova) and maybe Talalaikina. I'm just thinking of Nugu here. She really wants those GP spots and I want her to have them.

Unfortunately, it won't be that simple. I fear that Nugumanova, Tsibinova and Talalaykina won't get anything despite their top 10 places. And that's unfair considering they were 3rd, 5th and 6th seniors in this competition.

It's a tricky situation. Medvedeva, Zagitova and Sinitsyna have not shown us anything this season. Samodurova and Gulyakova have, but they have not been that great. Should all five of them keep their National Team spots next year? I can see both sides to keep them or not. And then we have Kostornaia and Tuktamysheva as well.

In a perfect world, I would hope that they give more ladies National Team spots next year. But that's probably financially impossible.

Don't you think that Anna's health is none of your busyness?
I can't believe people here discuss health issues of 16 y. o. girl who didn't ask them to.
Some people seem to be frustrated that it went the way it went: the most impressive last group in the FS history. That's the only logical explanation of 20 pages or so of the very same messages from the very same people. Who said what, who lied about what, etc. But the real takeaway is that the quad revolution started by TT is going on at full swing, that Russian ladies are as strong as ever and are poised to be even stronger in the future. Japan is clearly lagging behind. Rika is the only threat. And it is not enough to have one skater against the constellation. So all this ranting all those fake concerns won't mask the truth. Russian ladies at this moment are undoubted leaders. And yes, it's good that they, their families and their teams stay clear off zealous fans looking through "their laundry".

Surely Sinitsyna is out by now, and Nugu ahead of those two Mishin girls

Come on. The first she almost collapsed and the second day two quads and the skate of her life? Russia is not banned from Olympics for no r

s an almost collapse exaggerating a lot? She struggled to catch your breath asking the SP Coming of pneumonia.

Come on. The first she almost collapsed and the second day two quads and the skate of her life? Russia is not banned from Olympics for no reason.
Come on yourself. So you're saying Anna is a doper now? Lol. This is figure skating not track-and-field for Russia.

As for almost collapsing that's a great exaggeration she had trouble catching her breath after her SP coming off of freaking pneumonia. After the free skate Anna did not have as hard a time catching her breath.
Russia got in trouble for PEDs I'm pretty sure Anna is not taking PEDs as they are used to get stronger and faster and as a figure skater with a super slim figure she does not need to get stronger it would throw everything off for her skating. The poor girl is coming off pneumonia and is trying to get her conditioning level back to where it was before she took ill.

Well said Sam and Russian ladies in figure skating or not only the leaders and figure skating they are the leaders in Russian sports in recent years and you would know more about that than I would. Especially since the Sochi olympics.
