I was very much impressed by how he thanked his athletes, very courteous and kind. Not the other way round, asking them for gratitude, but starting this two-way process himself. Also his words about Kolyada rejuvenating him. In an earlier interview he quoted a Russian proverb "a tit in the hand is better than a crane in the sky" (the tit means smth small but feasible, a crane smth big but elusive) but gave another meaning to it, saying how happy he was to get "this nice little crane" to train, meaning Kolyada. "Zhuravlik" - a crane with an diminutive endearment suffix, that's why I had to add "little" in the translation.
