I think Lakernik or Gorshkov would push Eteri hard to take her back. They wouldn’t want one of Rusfed’s Crown Jewels to end up with no coach at all. Especially if Aliona already expressed her desire to come back to Eteri specifically.

Eteri might also appreciate Aliona’s courage to come personally. Whether she would agree or not is still a big question though. If not, I don’t know what she will do. Yana might be already busy taking Aliona’s things out of that little house by now.
They pretty much pushed her to take Evgenia back and Aliona has more potential.

This rumor is wild. I cannot understand what prompted Kostornaia to do this. Her season was ruined primarily because of covid, Idk why she's throwing in the towel. Maybe she expected more attention from Plushenko but I doubt it, and she didn't transfer for him. She went for Rozanov, believing he was the best technician who could restore/teach her jumps. He hasn't been able to since she's been injured and sick, but Idk why that would change her opinion of what he could do when she's healthy on the off season. I don't see how returning to Eteri will be a recipe for success. She said she didn't get along with Eteri because didn't like being screamed at and asked for things Eteri refused to give her (specific music, no little kids on the ice). Eteri probably doesn't like her if she cries when she's screamed at (not blaming Aliona at all, I would too) and gets mad if Eteri doesn't give her the things she asks for (not blaming Aliona, I would too). Maybe Eteri told Aliona she would try to be more accommodating if she returned, more likely she said Aliona could only return on her terms. So if Aliona only gets to go back if she promises to have less tears and less opinions, Idk how that doesn't create more internal chaos in an already angsty and desperate teen. She will be no one's first priority, probably not even their third. I know people assume Eteri's team could help her get her jumps back, but that's only if she isn't immediately reinjured on arrival like Evgenia was and out for the season as a result. On Eteri's end, also confusing. I was shocked when she took Evgenia back, considering how betrayed she felt and all the drama. But years had passed and she had been extremely close to Evgenia before. Eteri implied that's she never really liked Aliona's attitude/personality. Is she planning to take Aliona back and be extra hard on her as punishment? Does she just want to make money off her? Is she hoping to further psych out Sasha and Plushenko by making it 5 vs 1 next season? Does taking another student back enforce the idea that she's the best coach, or that leaving her camp is fine because you can always come back? I have so many questions.

i don't think they are all onboard the Khromykh train quite yet. she has only been able to deliver content on the same level as Kamila or Sasha once, and Daria still regularly beats her. if Kostornaia regains her 3A and Daria does not come in with a consistent 3A or quad next year there's no way they'd push her over Aliona.
No but they are aboard the Daria train.

Also there is just as much chance that Aliona gets her 3A back and Daria gets her 3A and/or 4S. In fact, Daria is MORE likely because (1) she's not injured/ill/etc already and (2) she's already started to train them with some success.
And there won't be a difference in PCS really between Daria and Aliona - nationally or internationally.

And don't forget Anna - who might very well be World's champion in a month. Or Sasha who might also be World's champion. Both will see PCS jumps and Anna had already almost caught Aliona there internationally.

The crown jewels are right now: Anna, Kamila, and Sasha. Everyone else is there to challenge them and if they overtake them then Russia sends an even stronger team to the Olympics.

Eteri definitely did NOT tell Aliona anything about changing her behaviour haha. That mere thought is ludicrous. Aliona came to HER not the other way around. If she accepts her things will be business as usual and on Eteri's terms. (Although the transfer might be encouraged by the Fed.) But the day to day training and operation - that will be dictated by Eteri.

Evgenia was loved by Eteri and the Fed helped there haha. (Also COVID because Evgenia couldn't go to Canada to train with Orser.)

This is a crazy move from Aliona. She does seem to be very stressed and panicked from her reactions at Russian cup final. I find it hard to believe that this move was her choice considering everything she's said about training conditions both at Eteri's and at Plushenko's. But who knows, Aliona is an unpredictable one.

Eteri doesn't really have time to be dealing with Aliona and her injuries at the moment so I'm not sure Aliona will be any happier than the last time she was there. Sounds like she might retire if Eteri doesn't take her if it's true she's already left Plushenko...

I think all of those decisions are her personal choices. I’m not even sure her parents are involved, they let her decide or surely they would’ve stopped her from making impulsive decisions.

Edit: Trankov says that Kostornaya’s mom was against her leaving Eteri to begin with.
