I don't think anyone will give up their worlds spot, even if one wins the Olympics and/or they all podium. If the team is Anna/Sasha/Kamila, at least one of Anna and Sasha would not have a world title. And Kamila definitely wouldn't. If Alena is on the team, she wouldn't have a world title either.

Assuming that whoever makes the Olympic team is also guaranteed worlds spots, I don't see any of them giving up their chance considering the year after will be a bloodbath. 1 mistake at nationals could cost them the world team in any year, who would give up a guaranteed spot?

This depends on their condition. From what I understand from this and other boards Alina was "forced" to participate, Zhenya declined. If the girls gave their all to the Olympics they might be willing to skip the worlds. And next year there will be more than adequate substitutes.

If he hadn't gotten so ahead of himself, he would probably be accompanying Sonya A (and still Veronika Z) to events, especially next year as they enter international juniors. Now, it seems like he'll be remembered for losing the most talent in the shortest possible period lmao.

But she didnt say that when Evgenia came back. I dont see Alena acting any better or worse than Evgenia. Both ravishing about how much "fun and smiling" they had at their new training camp compared to the bleak harsh Eteri camp.

Wasn't she supposedly helping Medvedeva over the summer? Given that and as she is such a hardcore Medvedeva fan I understand why she wouldn't have said anything about Medvedeva needing to apologize to Eteri and appear like she made a mistake.

As someone that loves Alena’s skating and has no personal preference for either coach, I really hope she returns to Eteri. I don’t want her career to be over so early. I don’t think Plushenko has any interest in Alena. He is 100% about Trusova. I know he’s not her main coach, but he should at least pretend to be interested. Again, I have nothing against him, but she is such a rare talent and his indifference was disappointing

Well, that these negotiations leaked immediately is no accident. This is about humiliation. The only question is to what extent. In case of refusal, Kostornaya is burned.

Im not sure this is very wise step from Aliona. Honestly, she is 17 and half. Her top form, even if she would be 100% fit, would last maybe this and maybe next season and then "young rifles" like Kamila, Sofia etc., would simply outperform her, because thats the nature of women figure skating in Russia. But Aliona isnt ok, her health is not good, she long term dont train enough, her skating skills and jumps unfortunately, but logicaly, deteriorated. I dont think she will come back to level on which she was before 2020 and I dont think she will make it to the olympics. I think she is in position of Alina from 2019, means she should "prepare field" for herself in business and shows skating and that mean avoid any more scandals and just calmly working on her skating. Plushenko is maybe not good coach, but he have conections and rich friends in bussines and entertainment sphere in Russia. If Aliona dodnt consult and decently communicate with him her decision and now puting his academy into bad light, it can have consequencies on her skating carrier after she left competitions.
Anyway, I wish her all best and mainly good health.

Eteri didn’t accept her yet. She has already so many contenders for the olympics and next worlds. Does she have time to waste ?
