I can't get enough of FS. I wish the season lasts all year round. Even scandals can't spoil the enjoyment. In fact, the opposite is the case 😀

What is it then?
Depends on whom we're talking about. Domination can apply to Evgenia (in the years leading up to the Olympics) and Yuna. Kamila as a junior (remains to be seen if she can do that as a senior and even then she will be realistically opposed). Evgenia was a foregone conclusion that she would win during her reign.

That's never applied to Aliona. When she won it was close. And she didn't win everything. She was beaten in every important competition as a first year international junior. And she, Anna, and Sasha traded places as second year juniors. And much the same continued during their first senior season. It was never a foregone conclusion that Aliona would win. She won when she did! But she was never ahead of Sasha and Anna undisputedly. She's never even won a FS as a senior at a major competition.

And you would never discuss leaving Evgenia or Yuna off of World's or Olympic teams as second year seniors. That's not going to apply to any of the Russian ladies. None of them truly stand out from the pack.

I mean has Anna said that pneumonia led to a weaker FS at Channel One Trophy? Has Sasha said that her Channel One Trophy skate was due to injury? Has Liza said that her RusNats FS was due to Covid? No, but all of those things are kind of known right?
Eh Plushy definitely mentioned Sasha's injuries at Rostelecom and Sasha mentioned they existed at RusNats but didn't want to say more. Anna's own team mentioned pneumonia and a fever. And they all mentioned wanting to withdraw her from RusNats. Mishin mentioned wanting to withdraw Liza from RusNats.

It's still pretty crowded now though, and loads more visible talent than in 2015-16. I do hope they take more outside help again. They can stick to Russia, no need to send skaters to Zueva (but clearly Russia has ties with her, they send T/M to work with her too...).
I don't think they would send skaters to Zueva even if they were looking outside of Russia. Igor coaches Eteri's daughter..

Has Sasha said that her injuries are what are leading to her weaker skates? No. Has Anna? No. Has Liza? No. That's my point. All these athletes have struggled with injury or illness, but none of them have said so explicitly either, thus Alyona not saying so doesn't mean she isn't struggling.

Ah I see what you mean.

Yes, of course!

So dominating includes having the highest potential scoring + skating clean or almost most of the time?

That gives you the highest chance. And likely makes you untouchable.

Basically dominating is to command and rule. And you can't say that Aliona exercised that over her rivals. She didn't win everything. And it was never expected she would. If anything, it was expected that Sasha would.

Eteri has a new assistant helping her oversee the training process:

You rub the duck's head and all your wishes come true. There should be about 6 OGMs at Khrustalny next February.

I am pleased alyona and EG came forward to speak publicly.. There is bviously a very tight leash on this beautiful girl. I hope she can handle it because she's not physically well. If Aliona does not survive this probationary she needs to move on to Sergei Davydov. He sesperately needs asenior lady to go along with his junior girls

The main thing is for Allona to get healthy.

I hope she can handle the physical requirements required over at TT coming off Corona virus and a slow recovery. But I have my doubts. Good luck to Aliona.

It's interesting that EGs daughter Diana was a key player in this.

I think this trial period is actually to test her character, not her skating. I think even if she doesn't get her 3A back Eteri is still going to accept her, as long as Aliona shows she can get a long well with other skaters (non grata list), and she can handle pressure without breaking down.

I think all this emphasize on 3A is also to test a lot of things in her character, like how much effort she is willing to put into it, how she's going to react if things don't go well in practice... etc.

As long as she shows she is disciplined, hard working and well behaved, they will accept her.
100%. Yes, character, motivation, and determination. I think Aliona is a brave girl and will be good.
