Will there be 0 spectators?

No I think there will be some spectators but not in the usual sense. Anyone thats in the bubble should (I think) be allowed to sit in the stands whenever someone is skating ie other skaters, opening cermony skaters, coaches and other staff/media people.
But the stands are huge and even if up to 100people will sit and watch the competition in the stands it will probably still feel verry empty.

Personally I think there is a little dash of Russiaphobia around right now. However the real issue isn’t Anna it’s that she’s a part of a very powerful team right now. While there are some valid criticisms (remember the smelling salts?) it’s always the case that the bigger and more powerful someone gets there starts to be a backlash.

Also she had some fair points. Lately Anna has looked unwell, especially after her free skate. Are we supposed to pretend not to see? I think there is a high chance she’ll be World Champion this time next week but that doesn’t mean I’m not worried!

Did you listen to the interview? I listened to the segment where meghan and TSL talked about the 3 Russian girls to make sure that the comments weren't a translation error since the original article that I saw on here was from a Russian website (mistakes happen) and I didn't want to make a villain out of meghan for a translation error, and while TSL did mention that Shcherbakova was ill at Nationals, meghan's entire commentary for the segment - the context I got from her was that the remarks she had to say about Shcherbakova had nothing to do with the fact that Shcherbakova has been recovering from pneumonia. meghan stressed that Tuktamysheva looked so healthy and Shcherbakova looked so sickly.

Sasha had a fully clean run-through with FIVE QUADS! She landed 4F, 4S, 4Lz1Eu3S in the first half, then did 4Lz3T and 4T in the second half!

Anna is apparently going for three quads in the free! She didn't land any in her run-through though, rip

Sasha seems to be in amazing shape, she generally seems to peak later in the season. Remember, how she couldn’t land her first clean quad as a junior whole season and then did 2 clean quads at JrWorlds? Perhaps we’re looking at this scenario happening again?

I'm glad you admit to the phobia. It exists on many levels about Russia.

With Megan the issue is Anna and also like you pointed out that super TT team she is on.

With all due respect, it is false narrative: Meagan was not russophobic in her comment, on the contrary, she spoke very highly of Liza T. and Sasha and there was nothing there that would indicate that she has some issues with Anna being Russian. Still it does not make her look better - comments about Anya were completely out of line.

Sorry, I don't buy it. I would not go into much details because it is going to be political. The outright attack would be too bland. Then for years now we have these 2 narratives. The first one is: "I like her but... another one is "everythng is good but the strongest link". And we know who the strongest link is. Then you like everyone but...

WADA are not stupid to just ban PED - they know quite well that there are masking agents. The analogy is quite obvious and its most obvious example is the situation with Zhenya who was almost a pariah here when she was with TT - yes, I remember those times very clearly. And then she "suddenly" became the darling of many.

In the end it all comes down to the competition, not the practices. So, Anna still has a chance. I will admit I am rather rooting for Sasha here because she had a less successful year than Anna and I always root for the underdog but I hope they can both be proud of their performances. If Sasha hits those quads and a 3A in the SP no one can compete that would be record breaking and frankly incredible.

Well like the predictions last season, IF Trusova does a 5 quad program and actually lands it, she can't be beat, but she's had excellent runthroughs before and competition time it didn't work out.
