I think Nathan is her favorite. And happy birthday!

Didn't I see an NBC fluff segment from 2018 Olympics where an NBC correspondent said something like this to Alice, 'didn't want to say it in front of the others (brothers? siblings?) but Nathan is your favorite'? And then on camera Alice confirmed it? I think at least one of Nathan's other brothers was present, maybe all his siblings, so it's no secret.

Working hard even on his birthday. Hope it was a good one.

Haha I think one of the greatest qualities of Nathan's siblings is that they don't mind him getting all the attention and instead decide to spoil him some more 😛 Also some love inspires you to share it in public and some is expressed in private. Who knows if the other Chen kids will feel awkward if she starts posting more frequently about them. (Whereas Nathan is obligated to take it, hehe 😈)

Is SOI abandoning the US market? I read somewhere there will be SOI Canada in fall. This tweet is calling for Canadian FS fans to sign up for emails.
I remember for last summer they planned to have a mixed group of US and Canadian skaters to do two shows on the US West Coast and the rest in Canada. Given the uncertainty of travel restrictions they might have decided to just do the Canadian part of it.

Not that I expected Nathan to participate in SOI this summer, but this reminds me that Sun Valley is probably the only shot we get to see him perform anything at all in the entire off-season :scratch2: There'd better be a hundred live streams to compensate like last year.

A hundred live streams? :) I wish!

Which streams from last season were you referring to? Do you mean ISP1 and 2, which you predicted wouldn't happen because of in person Champs Camp? Are you perhaps expecting a Champs Camp 'before' and 'after' stream--before input from USFS officials and after, kind of like a makeover show? Wow, look how those transitions just pop out like platinum highlights on marmalade colored hair? :ROFLMAO:

I’m pessimistic about Sun Valley. It is already May, there is no announcement or anything.
Doesn't the ice show season usually start around Independence Day? Maybe they are still figuring this out. Just checked that their rink is open this year.

Don't think Nathan will do the Peggy Fleming Trophy (no quads allowed! bahh) or Colorado Cup either, but he will probably want to get more exposure for his programs (preferably at live competitions) before the Grand Prix season starts, especially considering it might get truncated just like last year. Other than US Classic I can only think of Glacier Falls, which is close (think it's in either Anaheim or Irvine) but more low-tiered. US Classic is open to international skaters and someone with a training base in the US might be tempted to go. The domestic men's field is decent in itself.

Haha sorry I was referring to those instagram lives (some were on other platforms like the Scott Hamilton interview, and the Oregon zoom SC classes were live too :love2:😂). I prefer to see him skating but those sidekicks were fun too.

I suspect USFS officials are usually quite lenient with Nathan at Champs Camp and don't temper with his programs and overall packaging too much. How else did he get away with the bus seat shirt :ROFLMAO:

SOI Canada is in fall, so I do not expect him to participate in any either. I don’t think travel restrictions to and within US is an issue, as US is far less stringent in quarantine, lockdowns, and US has done far better jobs in getting people vaccinated. Doing two shows in Cali with a cast of US skaters, and one in New York in summer to me is quite feasible. My guess is that the organizer might not have convincing data to predict any possibility of profitability for shows within US.

Ic3rabbit, please share any info you have.

There will be summer competitions like that Fleming Trophy and Colorado Cup , I hope he can participate, but I doubt it. I also doubt he would participate in the International FS Classic in Boston. The travel would take 2 days, and it is going to be a domestic competition.

Still crossing fingers for Sun Valley. Although of course Sun Valley could happen with Nathan skating Rocketman for one number and Caravan for the other (since he seems done with Desperado, lol), and fans none the wiser re: his programs next season.

Would Boston US Classic being a domestic competition necessarily mean Nathan skipping it, though? It's a more substantial competition opp than the Aerial Challenge. And he participated in last year's Skate America, a domestic event with only Keegan representing Canada, IIRC? True he can't easily drive to Boston, but traveling for an international competition would take as long, pose as many hazards, and as LutzDance said the US men field is decent in itself.
