The media won't play for me (or the image won't display); I only see a black and white symbol similar to a picture-in-picture icon. What is it?

A video of Nastia and some guy, looks like a coach at a rink, doing pairs back crossovers and gliding, and she laughs while falling at the end. I don't take it as anything more than fun pairs skating in training, Nastya is rather tall for pairs and she won't have more of a chance there than in singles. I hope she goes into show skating to alleviate some of the financial trouble she has had and enjoy herself while making some beautiful performances.

Ah, thanks. Okay then, even though I can't see it here, I've seen it on IG or Tik Tok, not sure which (maybe both). The falling was kind of humorous because she was just skating when she fell; it wasn't like a thrown jump that she didn't land or something.

I hope she gets to do some shows, too. At least she's able to work in skating as a coach, and I think it's cool that Daria Panenkova works there, too. I don't know if they're buddies or not, but they trained together for awhile, so there is probably some sort of comfortable camaraderie between them, like seeing a former classmate when you start at a new school. You're like "Yay, somebody I know," even if you weren't close at the last school.

I think it's rather funny that of the original 5, all but Anna have left at some point, and all 5 of them somehow ended up back at the same place. There is something of dynasty there in Russian singles skating. It is almost as if there is no other place in which you can survive.

What does the video say? I don't speak Russian beyond a few simple phrases and don't know how to translate text in a video ('cuz I'm a boomer ).

Nastya has joined the coaching group of Bulycheva in Sambo 70 and has reportedly retired from competition permanently.

What a talent, and let us not wallow in her mismanagement, but rather celebrate her victory and beautiful skating.
It's hard not to wallow in what could have been for Nastya. It's unbelievable the depth of talent the Russian girls and Russian ladies have the talent level is so deep that many super talented girls just fall through the cracks. Nastya is one of them.

She was coached by the best EG at Sambo 70. But something happened and then Anastasia wandered around for a couple years and now she's back at Sambo 70 as a coach of children. Good luck to Nastya and I hope her coaching experiences are wonderful.

I do wonder why she did not try to transfer countries to continue skating the way other Russian girls have done for years. Especially recently.

I think she was very talented, with a unique performing style and great speed and skating skills. But unfortunately, she ran hard into the politics-aspect of Russian figure skating, was constantly underscored, made some poor choices with coaching and also was the victim of some unfortunate circumstances and in the end what we're left with is a ton of "what if" scenarios to wonder.

At least there is her debut jgp season to enjoy but it's a shame...

Yeah, it looked like she made some political enemies. Switching coaches virtually every year doesn't seem to have helped much, either. I thought she skated well with Eteri, but I understand how she might not be the right trainer for everyone, and I thought she did well with Ksenia Ivanova, Nationals this year aside, but I think that bouncing around from coach to coach kind of stunted her a little bit. I wish she could have continued, if not for Russia, then surely for someone else, like Scott512 said. Perhaps RusFed refused to release her, or perhaps it wasn't financially possible, or who knows. It is sad, though. I really enjoyed her skating.
