She can't let one fall derail her practices. A few comments in the YouTube video mentioned her needing to do more full run-throughs, and I agree with them. It seems like she practices a lot of jumps individually but not as much integrating those into run-throughs of her programs. Hopefully she can build upon her previous competition and skate two better programs.Gracie looks like she might have hurt herself in that 1st fall it looked rough and she didnt seem so into the practice after it. I so hope that Gracie does well in this comp,it would be really nice to see her get out of the ice happy after finishing her program.
Its so nice to watch Audrey skate clean ! I hope she manages that in the actual competition as well!
I like Mariahs program music for her but im worried international judges wont share my sentiment :/ also i hope she will do a 3-3 combo in the comp and is only doing a 3-2 combo for run throughs but im not that optimistic.
Alysa looks good too, i wonder if she is playing it safe in the sp and by not adding a 3A as a fall would hurt her there and will do it in the free instead.
I love Ambers program hope the 3A pan out in the actual competition, am i blind or did she not do the combo?

If Gracie's Coaches aren't having her do full runs of her SP, how do they ever expect her to build the Stamina it takes to do a solid LP. She's a former Champion and I know that Frank made her do full run-throughs of her programs. She is not going to benefit from doing jumps in isolation and her time is running out.
This is an excellent question. I can say this much, she definitely looked like she had stamina issues during her LP at her last event. I'm glad to see Gracie doing triple triples at practice but, she has yet to do that combo in competition.Serious question:
is there someone who is willing to be identified, who is in the rink with Gracie, who says she is not doing full run-throughs?
Or are they anonymous comments that are conclusions based on what they are seeing at comps, rather than knowledge of how she actually practices?
I know we all can say what we *think* a problem is, and that's cool,I'm just wondering if the "No run throughs" is speculation or verified observations?

IDK if there is someone that has made the run-through remarks that actually go to her rink, but I think for any seasoned skater or someone who has watched enough skating programs it seems pretty obvious that she has stamina issues so she's either not doing full program run-throughs or not doing them enough.
And to be clear a program run-through is going from starting pose to finishing pose without breaks, the videos of practice today with 'program run-throughs' were not programs done in completion but bits and pieces of them; just cause the program's music is playing doesn't mean the program is happening.
I know the training methods she had under previous coaches resulted in a lot of the problems she faced in the last few years. I wonder if doing things on her terms just isn't rigorous enough to match what other top competitors endure to get into peak form. Training things like endurance probably isn't very fun for someone who likes to jump, but working on those things is what's needed for her to get on the level of the top Americans. But maybe skating is more of a hobby for her now, and that's fine too.I think Gracie is similar to Kostornaia, a skater with a lot of natural talent, but not a lot of natural self-motivation or ability push themselves so they need a coach like an Eteri or a Frank that's strict and going to push them.

I don't think we've seen Gracie skate a LP that has been strong until the end during her comeback. Gracie 1.0 didn't have this issue; sure, she made mistakes but they were never due to fatigue. She also got those jumps executed skating with more speed and intricate choreography.Plenty of skaters have issues with endurance in comps who train hard and rigorously, so I just wonder if there is any other reason for this conclusion. (And she very well may not be, I don't know, I'm just wondering about the conclusion).
I am really impressed with Alysa's spins and improved speed across the ice. However, she did not do a 3/3 in her run-through. That won't be a problem at Nationals but it will help her on the GP circuit. Maybe she's toning things down because this is a small event. Its so nice to watch Audrey skate clean ! Her jump content in the actual competition was: 2A, 3F, 3Lz3T if she can add the 3A she will most certainly be competitiveI am really impressed with Alysa's spins and improved speed across the ice.
