Sadly, I don't have access to Peacock. I'll have to wait until someone can post the video. However, I'm so happy to hear that Gracie not only skated well but, she had a good time doing it. No matter what, I'm so proud and happy for Gracie.

By popular demand, Gracie's SP today:

It's a another site post, as far as I can tell not yet on YouTube, but it is a video.

At this point, I think USFS is just going to let Alysa do both segments and split men and dance instead. So far, none of the US ladies have really proven that they deserve that team medal, and Chock and Bates and Hubbell and Donohue have proven over and over that they both deserve the team medal after representing the US for many years and having success at the Grand Prixs, 4CC, and Worlds. Furthermore, in terms of event timing, dance is before ladies, so this way it won't be as tiring for the dance teams, since they can split, and there's plenty of time for Alysa to recover before the individual event.

Also, in the selection criteria for the team event, USFS said that they would let the top skater in each discipline choose whether they want to do both segments or a single segment in the order of "most likely to medal" as decided by a panel. That would obviously put Nathan first, and he will almost certainly choose to split since men's is right after the team event. Then comes dance, and whichever of H/D and C/B wins US Nationals. So, really it's in their hands whether dance is split or ladies is split. Though who knows, Alysa might want to do both segments since she is far more likely to win a medal in the team event than in the individual event.
Sadly, I have to agree with you on that - Alysa needs to do both SP and LP for team event. US women field is really a big mess this season. Let's hope Gracie has a strong come back with clean LP tomorrow.

If Bradie is not healthy. If Bradie manages to get close to her former form, she has demonstrated much higher consistent scores than Alysa or any other US woman. We also still need to see Mariah skate before making any definitive statements.

However, US men and ice dance have much more depth than women's skating even US pairs are stronger than the woman. Thus, I do think it is likely that one woman will skate both segments. Alysa is definitely the front runner at this time.

I just finished watching Warsaw and Lindsay T was robbed. The technical panel was super strict with her jumps, but, put away their glasses for the rest of her competition. I can’t believe she is in 8th place with the skate she put out. I’m hoping she comes back with vengeance for the free skate.

:thank: :thank: :thank: Gracie has a nice big lead! I hope she holds it together in long program. A Gold Medal as we approach nationals would be huge for her confidence.
