At this point, I think USFS is just going to let Alysa do both segments and split men and dance instead. So far, none of the US ladies have really proven that they deserve that team medal, and Chock and Bates and Hubbell and Donohue have proven over and over that they both deserve the team medal after representing the US for many years and having success at the Grand Prixs, 4CC, and Worlds. Furthermore, in terms of event timing, dance is before ladies, so this way it won't be as tiring for the dance teams, since they can split, and there's plenty of time for Alysa to recover before the individual event.
Also, in the selection criteria for the team event, USFS said that they would let the top skater in each discipline choose whether they want to do both segments or a single segment in the order of "most likely to medal" as decided by a panel. That would obviously put Nathan first, and he will almost certainly choose to split since men's is right after the team event. Then comes dance, and whichever of H/D and C/B wins US Nationals. So, really it's in their hands whether dance is split or ladies is split. Though who knows, Alysa might want to do both segments since she is far more likely to win a medal in the team event than in the individual event.
