I hope her back recovers so she can lead a somewhat normal pain free life - She gave us so many competitive memories to cherish rostelcom = my fav - and hopefully will continue with some really cool programs/ice shows that continue(ie ice age snow queen exhibitions). It is nice to see her genuinely happy lately - I am kind of psuedo glad that she is not returning to compete with Eteri because even if her injuries were better I could only see them getting worse if she did. I hope we get to see Masquerade in a show !! I am happy though that she seems genuinely

They didn't show the Ice Age show on previous Saturday. (they showed the skating competitions in Sochi) So they are going to show "the Spiderman episode" on December 4.

She somehow also said that if the age limit would be raised she could try and go dig deeper? Anyone onows what she meant by that? Like she would like to try and return if the age limit would be raised but as long as it isnt she doesnt really stand a chance ? . Anyone knows if there is anything that can be done about the back for her in normal life as well? Like aanother operation? I mean if bones or simething have fused together in a wrong way isnt there anything that can be done to correct it?

I'm very sad about the news. She is my Queen and she always will be. I miss her skating in competitions, but her health is the most important. And back problems are so horrific because it can be a problem forever. All that matters is her health and happiness. I'm glad that she is staying in figure skating. We should see her in shows and as a commentator. I hope Sambo uses her as a choreographer, too.

I think we all knew this day was coming although we hope she might have one more season to show those 2 special programs competitively.
I am sorry for Zhenyas back injuries. I wish there was a way we could good see her skate competitively again but it's probably for the best that she does not. If you make a back injury worse you have a real problem a life problem.
The world has been beaten up by this almost 2 year pandemic and it took a toll on Evgenia too.
Good luck Zhenya we need to see her smiling her beautiful smile.
