I feel sad for both of them! They both seem like delightful young people.

It seems like their career has stalled somehow, after a pretty promising start.

kind of a disaster skate, but they had a decent short, baby steps

MTM are just in such a funk! I wonder if it's a crisis of confidence when performing or if training is off as well? The quality of their pair elements has definitely declined, particularly the twist.

I miss the TES box. But Artemova/Nazarychev's FS score seems more reasonable today than what they were scoring on the GP for rougher skates. Their throws and twist really are some of the smallest in the event.

Also I feel for Kirsten. Something is off with her. James/Radford skated very well and that seems to be in her head.

The good: I'm no fan of this program particularly but compared to last year's FS I'm positively relieved they brought this back. Also by Canadian sap standards it's way better than the dreck James/Radford and Walsh/Michaud are stuck with.

The bad: Not only will performances like this not keep them ahead of J/R, I'm starting to be genuinely concerned they're at risk of not making the free skate at the Olympics.

Also, I always defended Michael on their lifts. But now, I'm afraid she's going to pitch right over his head.
