It's not for you to talk about the Soviet spirit. Hold your tongue.soviet spirit never dies. Lying, cheating, dishonesty always has been staple morals in soviet spirit. And arrogance. Super arrogance (= we are the best! everyone hates us because we are the best in the world! they- meaning, the rest of the world- want to eat us alive!) with which people were fed since early childhood in Russia during soviet time.
the similar thing was done to Slutskaya, when she suffered from so- called heart problems. Her heart problems were caused not from the natural reasons.
That sounds more along the line of a politician's "no controlling legal authority" type of reasoning.Yes, but what is really amazing is that she got better in the years after she took the (legal) drug. She wasn't doing three triple axels in an event back then.
Are you telling me The Skating Lesson were not wrong when they speculated about Russian girls being given (by Eteri they implied) enhancement drugs? I thought it was just TSL being TSL. This is messy and I feel for the athletes. I remember reading comments towards TSL saying, "How dare you accuse the girls..." and so on.They haven't been undergoing "hundreds of tests"- someone earlier said that figure skating is not as highly tested as swimming. If she was caught with a performance enhancing drug, most likely they figured out the testing schedule to taper down when they give it to her. If the story is true, that she got caught with a trace amount, then they made a mistake in figuring out when it would be eliminated by her system. That's how good doping regimes work, and if the story is true, because right now it is coming out, it is actually good evidence that they may be doping Sasha and Anna as well. Just because they evade testing doesn't mean that they aren't taking it. I like all three skaters, and perhaps Valieva was a new "protoype" for Russia to see how this drug works in a low tested sport and whether they can get away with it. It's definitely not her fault.
It was legal when she took it. And the point is that she has in fact been a better skater in the years since not taking the (illegal) drug. That sounds more along the line of a politician's "no controlling legal authority" type of reasoning.
Walking the fine line between legal and ethical.

Yes sad for Kamila. But honestly do you think she is the only one in the camp doing this? Honestly make you wonder if any of those Eteri skaters quads and triple axels can be done without doping.
People forget how young she is. She has apparently been groomed by adults to have to be perfect, all the time. Are you telling me The Skating Lesson were not wrong when they speculated about Russian girls being given (by Eteri they implied) enhancement drugs? I thought it was just TSL being TSL. This is messy and I feel for the athletes. I remember reading comments towards TSL saying, "How dare you accuse the girls..." and so on.
Also, I found odd Kamila's reaction after the team FS. She fell on a quad, but it was obvious, she was gonna win the segment regardless, yet she acted like she lost the whole Olympics and went to the coaches with a guilty face while they were there smiling. Her reaction is giving me "cult" vibes. These poor kids whole life is the sport and it's really sad.
It makes me wonder if Eteri skaters can do quads without doping and 3/4 prerotation.Honestly make you wonder if any of those Eteri skaters quads and triple axels can be done without doping.

Innocent until proven guilty.Yes sad for Kamila. But honestly do you think she is the only one in the camp doing this? Honestly make you wonder if any of those Eteri skaters quads and triple axels can be done without doping.
