Kamila Valieva: Anti-doping Case and Follow-ups

Are you kidding me? 🤨

I know YOU and ME adore this group, that coach and Russian skating, but seriously?
First, in that moment it was still officially not admitted it matters Kamila so no one could directly admit anything. For that only "no comment" or "there are some legal issues" can be the only thing you are supposed to say. And in fact the requirement to stay silent about the protected person is still effective, so she still is not legally supposed to say more. As a person submitted to FFKKR and ROC she is supposed to be spoken by people like Yermolina on her behalf.

This is still the same. It is as if anyone could say "how can be anyone not considered a murderer when there is no official statement he isn't." That's not how the things work. Once again, I am perplexed how this basic principle is so hard to understand.
Sure, but I didn't write, that the rest of the team is clean. I would'nt even write that f.e. Yuzuru Hanyu ist clean, because how should I know?
That's why dopers always say "there never was a positive test" or "all negative". The never say "I'm absolutely clean and would never take performance enhancing drugs."
We won't read a official statement that Chen was clean either.
Athletes have to live with those constant tests, with that Invasion of there privacy.
You can't compare sports law with civil law.

A lot of people in the western world were getting excited about Valieva,
I think she was even the subject of some advertisement pushes, it's exciting for everybody
she was destined to be the star of these games. It's a shame such scandal is tarnishing her reputation, I hope if she will be able to skate she will give a redemption.

Also, as much as I feel sorry for Kamila, if her doping is confirmed, I expect Anna being awarded 2022 European Championships golden medal asap.
I don't know if there is a precedent, but I'd prefer they do like they did with all the Tour de France titles that Lance Armstrong was stripped of as a result of doping, and just say that there was no winner at the 2022 European Championships.

No, it wouldn't. Any lawyers can confirm that you shouldn't speak about anything in such cases. No one should speak about this before official decision.
correct as comments can be used. we had a family real estate problem before and our lawyer told as to avoid making comments or texts to the peoe involve in filing the case against

That's the principle of "everyone innocent until proven guilty". People from countries that did not experience times when this principle was not in effect (in reality, although legally it was) probably can't value this achievement enough.

I'm still in a daze and denial about all of this and when I first heard I assumed it to be a positive test for Nikita taking painkillers for his back. Knowing how these things live on forever I want to wait for things to play out with CAS before commenting. These young skaters did not sign up for all of this drama so I feel for Kamila.

I agree on that and I was the same like "if something happened it is because of Nikita's painkillers".

I think whatever happens a huge shadow will be cast over Anna & Sasha plus all the Russian figure skaters.. I'm a huge fan of Kamila & out of all the athletes, the one with the potential to be the GOAT why her?!
The only thing that crossed my mind was that she seemed to have hit a growth spurt & filled out a little before russian nationals, could this have affected her stamina?
Who knows but this not the Olympics any of us envisaged this time last week...

It is weird that this argument always appears in figure skating, while there are sports with even lower eligibility and it doesn't seem anyone is bothered...

Eteri very rarely comments on anything unless she is asked directly. When she was asked two days ago she responded "I'm not commenting on the base of rumours." Honestly what else she can say.
I am actually bothered about it :) I didn't like at all the fact that a 14yo Chinese girl won in diving in Tokyo last year not to mention skateboarding... I think they should raise minimum age in all sports to at least 16.

Your advice is suitable for criminals trying to stay off public radar, not for the most regarded and beloved coach in figure skating.
You're talking about her criminal court tactics, I'm talking about her relations with public opinion and fans.

She owes explanation to all the people who respect and adore her (like myself).

It will be forgotten. We like champions, and champions who fell and are able to rise again even more.
Well if Kami will be suspended and let's say she comes back and wins the next olympics it will be probably among the most triumphant moments in the history of the olympics. But in the mean time many, many and I mean really many of nasty things and words will be observed.
