That's what happens when you are rooting for a skater. As far as I am concerned, I have been rooting for figure skating only, it's much more comfortable. And I have never been disappointed since the winner is always the best skater. :)
Well, one should not emotionally invest into the things he cannot change, that's true. But it happened already and there is no way back :)

yes, we all want the best athlete win, but a positive side of Social Media is that we are able to see an athlete as a person, vs a number in a ranking and experience the essential human emotion of empathy. Even more important thing is to be willing to do so and not descend to the dark side of the social media—and humanity. Athletes are not the only ones under obligation to want to be better. We all are as humans and individuals.

Well in the drama-free side of Russian ladies figure skating, Stanislava Molchanova won Winter Star this weekend; she doesn't have the technical prowess that we usually see from the Russian ladies, but something about her I like to watch. Her FS is nice, she has these multi-colored sleeves that give this interesting visual effect with her movements, especially with her arms over her head on her jumps

To move away from the Olympics. Do you guys think Elizaveta Tuktamysheva will continue skating . Does she have a shot next year assuming many of this years skaters don’t continue next year. I know there’s 3 new juniors coming up next year .

I honestly don't think it makes any difference if you are 25 or 26 so I think it's totally possible for her to skate some more seasons at her level. I also don't think her status (good chances to medal, but not the top favorite) would change. So I think it's more if she still wants to invest that kind of energy or if she wants to earn money with shows, study, etc.

How many grand prix assignments do we think Daria and Adelia will get next year? I thought Adelia was out of luck after junior nationals, but if junior worlds is cancelled it may actually be good for her chances of getting 2 spots.

Officially these Olympic Games are out for me...
It's rumored on Twitter that Anna suffered an ankle injury, she was seen crying at practices yesterday and today😭 There are even pictures of Sasha in tears too...
Angry at RusFed for making them come here two weeks early even knowing they weren't going to compete in the team event, with the crazy training schedules (who can perform at a 6am workout after getting up at 3am), With practices so tight...
They could have arrived later as Stepanova/Bukin, but now they are physically and mentally exhausted with all the scandal that we all already know... I don't care who wins these games anymore, I just want to see the girls happy and healthy. Everything is so devastating...
You can count on the Russian federation to make the wrong move it was just ridiculous to bring them that early they've been there 9 or 10 days they want to go home I just hope Anna and sasha can put it together where they could score around 230 points and one of them could win the gold assuming KV gets banned from the Olympics.

Getting up the skate at 6:00 in the morning? Why? You may see a lot of girls bombing.

It's really an unknown it depends if anybody retires and the KV situation of course

I would think Dario would get 2. Petro 1 and 2 challengers bungers but things can change obviously.

I hope junior worlds does not get canceled again.

I have similar feelings but maybe it's not that sad. In last trainings girls looked solid, Kani did mostly clean runthru of both SP and FS today. After some time, you usually get used to the stress, like soldiers in war, first and second time you are frightened from every sound, then you get used to it.

As fo Anna, mostly her trainings are not very succesful close to the competition, but of course injury would be heartbreaking considering how close to perfection were her initial skates in China. I hope she will awake her internal competitive self again during the skates.

But yes, I'm completely unsure whether I'll follow it more than just checking the results (esp. if Kami will be suspended).
Good to hear they had a better practice yesterday what about today?

Sorry to hear that Anna is all beaten up again.

Maybe it's time for the Russian federation to let these girls have a quiet day getting ready for the short program. They've been there so long and they have to be pulling their hair out and the same goes for other ladies who came for the team event.

Elizaveta already mentioned she is competing next season. Her goal next season is to land the 4T and a 3A in the free skate. This season she just focused on the 3A because it was the Olympics. But, she mentioned that for next season, she just wants to be able to say she landed a fully rotated quad, before she retires.

Problem is Anna came training not just 4F but also 4Lz and combinations. A real shot for a 3 quad program yet for now this has completely disappeared. Very sad for her.

Guess who's back?

Maleficient sadly outside of the podium in Italian Jr.Nationals. A lot of pops.

What's a 19 year old doing at Junior nationals?

If only she could change coach (Urmanov)... She and Milana Ramashova are wasted talents.
