Kamila Valieva

Now that the Olympic Games are almost over, I feel even more heartbroken for Kamila.
Regardless of whether or not she is responsible for doping, I can't help but think how this is going to affect her career and her life. It was nice to see the support of people like Witt, Savchenko and the whole skating scene in Russia. I just hope she can turn the page and get through this for the best, but it makes me feel worse to think that he spent practically her entire life going for this moment and it all fell apart. I also hope that she finds the motivation to show the world that she is a diamond and that her talent is innate, but honestly, I think that now she is so broken that if she decides not to continue in figure skating, I would not blame her.

I just know that I am lucky to live in a time when I was able to enjoy her brilliant, ethereal and sublime skating.

Kami, you are great! 🇷🇺💙
Thank you for these nice words! You spoke from my heart! As much as I'm very happy for Anna, I'm absolutely devastated for Kamila! As I said in Anna's Fan Fest, a part of my heart is blissfully happy for her, but the other one is totally broken. I wholeheartedly wish to see her skate again! The upcoming weeks and months will be very tough for her (and I'm afraid for the whole team), but I really, really hope that this case will be settled in a way that she'll be able to come back stronger than even she can imagine now. A big part of my enthusiasm for FS will surely die if she doesn't... but I don't want to even think about that! Kami, the magic you have already done on the ice is incomparable, no one can take away from you what you have achieved, and the experience from us to have seen you skate! Whatever happens in the future, you are The Queen of Ice! ❤️

Will they ever let her be?
Today there was a recap on eurosport just before the closing ceremony, and it was full of beautiful and happy stories:
people winning multiple golds, people coming back from a recent covid or coming at beijing with a last minute call getting medals, people getting a long awaited gold like Papadakis/Cizeron and then :poop:.
Instead of talking of Anna, Chen, or (my choice for figure skating) Sui/han winning at home, here cames Kamila with a compilation of her disaster in the free skate.
Comment "Come as favorite, 1st after SP, could not manage the pressure of the FS"... yep... that surely was the pressure she could not manage :bang:.
My whole family heard me curse at them during lunch when she appeared on screen.

Thanks for the traning clip @flanker : THAT is my Kamila 👑 .

Kamila: "I'm going to have some rest, then, in a couple of days, back to training."
That’s our girl, never give up and keep going 👍
My wish would be to see her compete at worlds and take her revenge 🤜

I totally understand you! We've all had a few outbursts like you had in the last couple of days, haven't we? And I'm afraid we'll have a few more in the next weeks/months to come... I'm sure you've all read/heard what Mr Bach, IOC President had to say about the coaching staff recently. I literally wanted to smash something (or somebody), when I did! But it's Kami's Fan Fest, so I'll stop bringing in any more negativity! I'm really happy to see her having some fun finally! She needs to heal her soul as much as possible before the big fight ahead!

I have never seen her perform before the Olympics, but goodness she is talented. Once this brouhaha is over, it is my devout hope that she finds a new skating home where she will thrive and prosper.

Dig you tube for her previous appearance this season (if you did not already)
She's been nothing short of divine

Kami's post about the olympics:

My first Olympiad is finally over, and I want to thank those who led me to this most important event in the life of an athlete - my coaches: Eteri Georgievna, Sergey Viktorovich, Daniil Markovich. You are absolute masters in your field! And you not only train, but also teach to overcome yourself, which helps not only in sports, but also in life. With you by my side, I feel protected and able to pass any test. Thank you for helping me be strong.
