Andrei Mozalev

It seems that the traditional reports from training on Wednesdays and Saturdays for last season are returning.
Today Andrei was working on his abs, apparently, the coach also noticed a soft belly. I probably shouldn't post every story, but today I was struck by the unhappy expression on his face, although I understand that he is conscientiously doing his job. How hard is it for him.

I like that he becomes a kind of "folk hero". It's so sweet that people support him.

It is like you two have been reading my mind :eek: I miss seeing him skate (and all the 1tv videos are now blocked here) then I look at my social media where the other skaters are having a great time in shows and I wonder why Andrei is not there! :scratch2: He also is not mentioned much in any of the channel one cup articles although I'm glad he doesn't get bombarded with questions from reporters...
I'm glad people are standing up for him.
I also would like to know when does he have a holiday? These latest strength exercises on his legs make me think he is working on quads - jumping with more height etc. Is it usual to do this intensive training in April?

I have long suspected that mozalebots exist in a unified mental space :biggrin::biggrin: In fact, it looks strange that all the top skaters participate in the show, except one.

Fans in Davydenko band channel ask a lot of questions about the show. Today there was an encouraging message that there is still no official information, they are in the process (apparently, negotiations are underway). Perhaps Andrei will participate in the Tutberidze show? We will wait for news.

As for 1CC, all comments about Andrei are extremely positive, everyone believes that he has shown himself to be a strong team player.

Intensive training will continue until the end of May, in early June Andrei will get two or three weeks of vacation, and then they will go to a summer training camp.

I am keeping fingers crossed that the fan push will get Mozalev into at least some shows. We could really use a glimpse in off-season, no matter what state his abs are in, and he can experiment with more music and get valuable experience performing! 🙌

If we analyze how situation is developing, from now on we will not see a video of Andrei's skates on the ISU channel for a long time :shrug: We'll have to look for other sources :scratch2:
 
Videos of Andrei's SP and FS skates on 1CC from the Channel 1 website are breaking records for views. Only Shcherbakova and Valieva rentals have more views. I wonder what's going on. Did everyone miss him that much? Have fans finally rebelled against the figure skater's obscurity? :scratch2::shrug:

I hope so, but if they are alphabetical by first name, his vids could just be popping up on top. I don't think I have access there, but I have the uploaded files with him jumping 4S in both programs, because it is heartening. He skated so well in Saransk, which is a wonderful achievement, because Saransk ice gives so many skaters troubles. I have this theory that Mozalev skates better in the arenas he has visited on multiple occasions.

I just clicked the link from the C1 cup thread. At the top are the 4 disciplines, then Liza, Anna, Maiia, Sofia, then Kamila, Adelia, P/K, then B/K, M/G, then T/M and Kolyada (big frame) then Mark, Andrei and Zhenya. So he's definitely not at the top ;) actually he appears to have more views than the full pairs skating free programs, and almost as many as the men's :cool:

If your theory is correct, we'd better get him to Montréal and Milan asap! :hap10: I would love to see him there, of course we can't plan too far ahead...

Nice! Now I have to click too and see that! Once I get home, for inspiration. ❤️ Milan, yup! One of my ridiculous fantasies is to see Mozalev move to Italy to train at Grassl’s rink. Why can’t world just obey my wishes? Soooo unfair.
 
I just rewatched it, and damn, it was his best competition this season. Sort of like that Spartakiad after JWC. Luck to Mozalev. Just a bit of luck…

I'd like to see him visit Lambiel. There are several skaters training at a similar level in team Champéry. But Switzerland is really expensive, I'd limit it to a couple of weeks! :giggle:
I just remembered that Andrei skated really well in Torino 2019, so he already has some success in Italy ❤

Given how uncomplimentary Lambiel was about all 3 Teen Titans, including Mozalev, at the Europeans, I am not sure he would look at Mozalev kindly. Plus, I think he picks students with innate dancy-ness, while Mozalev is all about being studious.
 
Great news for everyone! Andrei will skate in Eteri Tutberidze's show on April 9 in Minsk. This news was announced last night by the Davydenko band channel.

We will be very happy to see him on the ice again before the start of the low season.
Perhaps the fans are to blame for this with their whining. In that case, I'm proud of this bunch of intrepid Mozalev fans :)
