Andrei Mozalev

Okay, I officially had my first figure skating nightmare. Mozalev was doing his measured jump entry into 4S to Bolero, and, firstly, I was very frustrated that he picked it for FS, and, secondly, that I was so frustrated with that decision, that I woke up before seeing if he landed it. In short, I am happy that there is 2 weeks until JWC 😅

I like Shoma's Bolero :slink:
Plus it's a proven Worlds winner! 🤣

Andrei has been JWC champion for 2 years and now the baton gets handed over in Estonia to someone else. I hope Mihhail has a good competition as a summer training mate of Andrei's and his home city having saved FS as a host multiple times this season!

Uno's Bolero is the only Bolero my nerves can take, but Mozalev in my nightmare was doing Valieva's dental visit version. Interestingly enough, in my sleep, and to the best of my amusicality, he was turning into that 4S on beat. :party2::dbana::points:

Selevko is also choreo'd by Lunin, so yay! I will cheer for him for sure (I like Selevko brothers on their own merits too).

Yep, baby

And again!

Ice-cream duel

Oh, this "yes!" dance :yahoo: First time we can observe such a relaxed and emotional Mozalev. What's the difference with that boy who cried after SP last year. If the Olympics helped him change so much, then I am very glad that he had the chance to go to Beijing.

Okay, I figured it out. Given the FS, Mozalev needs to eat more ice cream. :cheer2:
Does this habit not contradict the principles of dietary nutrition that he and his coach preach?
I hope KA won't check Andrei's weight this week  The OFP coach has already promised him a non-stop workout and a half marathon.

It totally does, but I guess a sugar boost and relaxing a little helped Mozalev. On a serious note, he is so sincere, that I think he explained himself that something was physically off during the Olympics. Am not going to speculate farther than this. Imo, Mozalev actually is one of the most physiologically robust and fit athletes in Russian figure skating. That touch of neurodiversity that he exhibits is his secret weapon :)

Small ice cream is not a bad indulgence for reducing diets. It has some protein in addition to sugar and, say, Marilyn Monroe indulged with the rest of her diet being super-strict. That's if you believe her, of course. Milk products are not great for competitions because they can cause stuffy nose/post-nasal and stuff, but I guess he coped.

Today we have a new video Andrei in training. He is full of strength and energy, it's a shame that now he has nowhere to put them, the low season has officially begun. Maybe we'll get lucky and see him in somebody`s show, but I don't hope for that.

Maybe he will direct his energy to training quads?

Andrei still has a soft belly with (no cubes at all :sneaky:) , but if you don't find fault with these little things, he is very athletic and in excellent physical shape.

I am low-key hoping for a surprise appearance in the senior StP Cup with 4S. Unless he wants to explore his Mr. Olympia potential, he doesn't really need washboard abs, just a strong core which he never lost.

I had to Googling who is Mr. Olympia. To say that I was impressed would not be enough to describe my feelings :jaw:

It could be. We haven't seen the lists of participants yet, any surprises are possible.

I admire how beautifully this guy moves, even when he is in physical training 🕺😻
This is just a random screenshot from me:

I feel that I have fulfilled my purpose on Earth today then :party2::jump::rofl: But, yeah, unlikely career move for Mozalev :)

Aww, no Mozalev in the 'best Russian figure-skaters' show. Whenever I start hoping that the Fed started accepting Mozalev's potential for success, they are all too happy to demonstrate that nope, it ain't so.

The participants of the show are determined not by Rusfed, but by the organizers, they send proposals to the participants, guided by their interests. However, fans are also wondering why Andrei does not participate in any show (and there will be many of them), although he is wonderful in the demonstration numbers and many want to see him. Now we are having an impromptu flashmob: fans are writing to all the organizers of the show and asking to invite Andrei. This is reminiscent of the noise about Andrei's suspension from the Euro.
I like that he becomes a kind of "folk hero". It's so sweet that people support him.
